Statistically there are common situations where running over 40 cards is more consistent for your desired opening hand than 40 cards. You might not like it, but it's true.

My headcanon with Labrynth is that they're playing a game of Demon Queen and Invader Knight in their big mansion. The youngest (I thought was the youngest and only son but hear people say they're a girl) is often the knight because that's the role they like to play the most while the rest of the older sisters act as the demons of the castle. And all this came from people saying Lovely's horns come off, making me think that this was all just a big family playing the youngest's favorite game.
