- Joas, Justin and Ethan went on a fishing trip to Whittier Alaska. This was definitely the highlight of Alaska so far.
The beauty of everything was beyond description, waterfalls, snow glaciers, fishing, it was spectacular!

Back in the 1970’s, you could drive 15 minutes outside of Anchorage and be in land that looked like no one had ever set foot on it before! We used to pick wild blueberries by the side of the road. Picked wild raspberries and strawberries for making jelly. I so loved living up there! Looks like the fishing is still quite abundant!

You should be so proud of those young men. They are going to go places later in life. The scenery is breathtaking. I almost felt like I was in the boat. My favorite was the waterfall and the glacier doing a little calving.

It’s so hard when in Alaska, to come up with enough variety of adjectives…lol…there really are not enough words to describe to beauty God created here! It is just a feast for the eyes.
Great that you had a chance to go out fishing, but oh how it hurts to lose those that get off 😩.

I’ve been through the amazing Whittier tunnel but did not know about the tunnel under the RR tracks. WOW! Also saw people surfing the bore tide from Seward Hwy. Soooo wonderful you are taking a day to fish with your sons! Keep being the great example for parents raising families. I love looking at every part of nature in your videos! Thank you.

We were blessed with a trip to Alaska when my husband had to work there for a week in 2018. We took the Phillips Glacier tour in Whittier in Prince William Sound. So beautiful. I highly refer the Philips tours. They are family run and been in business for many years.
