Gorgeous Approach & Landing in New Orleans (MSY) - Southwest Airlines 737-800 [4K]

- It had been a couple of years since I’ve visited MSY and I am glad I came back! It was an absolutely gorgeous morning for flying, with abundant sun and patchy clouds in the area. Arriving from IAH we approached from the west with a sensational downwind leg along the Mississippi River and passing the airport before turning base and final around the Huey P. Long Bridge for landing on runway 29.

I went to visited New Orleans back in December 2021 for my first time.
Just flew to New Orleans 2 weeks ago. Their new airport is nice. I had a fantastic visit!
The new terminal is nice, only drawback is the gate areas are still kinda cramped in the B concourse but still better than the old terminal.
Those new ramps coming in and out took 6 years and they’re still not finished .. one of the worst run construction projects on the books
I wish I could experience an arrival on rwy 29 … MSY is my hometown airport I’ve departed off 29 but never arrived. I think during this video rwys 2/20 were closed for ILS maintenance. Beautiful Approach great video… SUBSCRIBED
Same here. Departed 29 before (from the old terminal, talk about a short taxi) but had always arrived on 2 every time before. Thank you!
Hey, I'm going to New Orleans in October, but not flying Southwest. Awesome landing with the clouds passing by.
Stepping out on the limb and stating this is probably finding a place in my top 10 most beautiful landings.
Nice sweeping for a great a view of of the Miss. River. That must be the East-West runway.
