Honestly learning monster behavior, crafting weapons and armor, and participating in epic hunts is fun and all, but I'd say the real game is the home design and pet capturing aspects.
That Nettle took me like 60 tries to get it. I saw it the first time I was up there on the mountain top but couldn't quite catch it so I though it was just eye candy. How many hours I could have saved myself...
I mean it's probably not bothering anyone else, but I'm surprised that they didn't give the ghilie mantle an alternative look in the hoarfrost reach region. Since it's the only one without real greenery in it and you stick out like a soar thumb while wearing a leafy mantle.
That nettle was a real pain for me, not in one go but 60+ attempts to get it in between other quests, all with the buff on. he moon slugs were often there without it. I've not seen a single moly yet tho, and there are supposed to be spiky moly (vale) and coral moly (highlands) versions too.
Get all of the "Trailblazer" ingredients, activate the 6 ingredient ones (Zoomaster) to make rare endemic life spawn more commonly, if you want small/large just wait for the daily felyne skill on microzoologist (for small) or macrozoologist (for big), this gives you a higher chance to find smaller/bigger endemic life
There’s a rare pet called Tsuchinoko (similar shape to the arrowhead gecko) that can be found in the final boss map, just before you jump down to the arena
About that: he forgot to mention two things: first molys only seem to spawn at dawn or dusk (at least thats when I found them exclusefly). Second: the rare molys (there are 4 not just 2) only spawn at ares lv 5 and up (can´t confirm nor deny, since I found a fluffy moly that way)
Arrow Head Gecko: A specific Event quest has a ~100% chance to spawn an arrow head gecko in the rotten vale. I used that trick to farm 3-5 for room pets
I've found the most Blue Diva in Coral Highlands. Go to area with blue floor traps > uphill to the crawl thru space > listen for the song. It can appear above the crawl space before u go in, after u jump down after crawling thru > go to the right, up small set of vines, look up and to the right. And alternatively down the first jump off after the crawl thru and straight ahead. It can be very hard to spot, but if u hear the singing u know ur on the right track.
As an avid pet collector, this is very useful, thank you :) There are also critical bounties from the piscine researcher for the fish & the endemic life researcher for the golden macaque.
Boaboa #3 in Hoarfrost reach if you're doing treasure hunting always gives endemic life. That guy gave me Goldspring macaque, sealord crestfish and wintermoon nettle in some trades..
Tip: The Blue Diva can also spawn in the trees to the left of the highest point in the Wildspire Wastes. It is extremely easy to check both locations while running through the area and the chance of it spawning in either seems to be about equal in my experience.
Have you caught all the endemic life yet including the non rare creatures? And if you have, are you up to the challenge of trying to get all the small and giant crowns for each creature? Either way thank you for putting the time an effort to make this video!
I haven't found mine yet, but everytime i climb i see the small ones. But the large one is never there. I guess they aren't really an indicator of weather or not it spawns.
Some more explanations for the Blue Diva, these birds can hide outside of accessible areas in the maps but also in accessible. You’ll have to get good with aiming your net. Also due to the bird’s strangely amazing camouflage abilities, you’ll have to track it via its song which can be heard throughout almost the entire area that it’s currently at. I recommend turning off the music and putting on your headset/headmic and turning up the volume to find these birds. Maybe I was just lucky because I straight up accidentally swung my great sword and jumped down onto a lower area right in front of her and she didn’t flee (I wasn’t even wearing the gillie mantle) (Ps: Also they appear more often at night and during rainstorms. Happy hunting!)
Oh! And you can use binoculars to find them. They’ll help you scan a wide area to find them but still check for their song in the area, it’ll be hard to hear at first but as soon as you do the first time, it’s hard to miss.
Update... The Blue Divo actually the hardest to find... The Big Jelly Thingy YES you can see it from (Camp 5) but not directly you've to jump down and on a way to the Water Springs area you can see it between 3 Spikes Mountain... IF YOU DON'T SEE IT don't bother climbing up just reset... I just confirm it...
Just found my Blue Divo... Wild Waste Land area 5 highest point or the Tree before area 5 to area 2 she at the branch... REMEMBER to put on Gillies Mantel before entering area 5 to be safe...

I found a bristly crake on a moss swine too on High Rank Rotten Vale. The Blue Diva I found was same area 11, only it was higher up. You’ll absolutely hear it if one’s nearby. So if you don’t see it on that branch/log then look up and slightly right, if it’s there climb the vine. He can also be found at the top of Wildspire Wastes, and I believe some found him in the Coral highlands by two baitbugs. Just travel between those expeditions, eventually one will be there (clear weather, day or night). I found mine during nighttime.
The Arrowhead Gecko does appear in Hoarfrost. The path you take to get Nettle has a chance to pop one up at a butterbur patch in the ice before the clutchbug thing.
I found and caught the Golden Macaque by complete accident. Was fighting a Beotodus and was following it into another area. Went to the hot springs to warmup, and saw a golden one. I said, "Oh, neat!" And caught it. Next thing you know, I got the trophy, and exclaimed "Oooooooh!"
Something weird about molies, I've only seen them a handful of times before this video and once there was a pink one among them (and it looked like it either was really fuzzy or had pink particles around it). This happened in the coral highlands area that's high up and overlooks the rest of the biome. I didn't get a screenshot and haven't see any molies since, but it makes me wonder if there's variants in each area. That or I just confused some item/particle effect as being a part of a moly and there is no pink one.
i actually caught blue diva whilst on a quest i was running nearby and i heard something that i havent heard when always going there so i use the ghillie mantle and caught it there totally unexpected

You missed a two moles in the guidelines I seen them before in a video there’s this one that’s it’s in the Rockville desk that’s a spiky Molly that lays around that lives in the rotten Ville and there’s this fluffy pink moly that lives in the Coral Highlands, where the Gacha order in region, Highland and the area is fluffy and pink the ones that you missed
Just another side note from me who just got iceborne on pc, the giant jellyfish can still spawn even when the smaller on is nowhere to be seen, i just continue to climb even when i see no smaller jellyfish around while i climb, but when i was waiting for the air current to lift me to the higher platform, i was checking the mountain and i saw it flying around, when i approach to the next beetle where the gap is between the two side, no jellyfish either, but again the big one is there flying around.
I used this guide to complete my Moly collection. Most annoying thing is to bring each Area to level 5. The grinding for the Moly's was surprisingly fast with Felyne Zoomaster.

The Endemic Researcher also mentions "a rare guest" when there are large amounts of the...I forget what they're called. But holy heck, I had NO idea about that secret path up the mountain in Hoarfrost Reach! I'd found the start of that path on my own, but to think it kept going! (shakes the multiple layers of dust off his Glider Mantle)

I actually discovered the Blue Diva during an expedition. I was wandering around until I heard a bird singing. I turned around and saw it perched ontop of a coral. I of course figured it was a new iceborne pet so I tried to catch it and failed.
...I just got the jellyfish to spawn on a run, but it turned to day before I got to the top of the mountain. I feel so depressed knowing what likely was.

Wonder if we'll get new Moly variants once they add Elders Recess and the Hoarfrost Reach to the Guiding Lands? Edit: There are molys in the volcanic region, apparently both are near might seeds.
Actually you just need one of the rare molys for the trophy. So get one guiding lands area to level 5 (better level 7 for a greater chance), go there with zoomaster active and the trophy will be yours in no time.
i found something called the moonlight gekko. it looks like a regular gekko but it shines bright blue. like much brighter than the other gekkos. not sure if its rare or not.. forgot where i found it though. it was kinda random.
any help on Wintermoon Nettle? once i was attempting to find it on nighttime, and then there were Moon slugs hovering around, but by the time i reached topside, it was already dawn. i can't seem to find it since
Is there a way to see if the nette spawned before climbing? You can see the spot it should be from camp 7, but I don't know how far the endemic monsters can be seen since even with the 10x zoom penguins can't be seen from the top of the mountain on the typical bridge spawn.
Nice guide but, just to let you know, macaque is pronounced the second way you said it as macaque is an actual real life species of monkey, and the first way you said it, macaw, is a species of parrot, just wanted to point that out, anyway, great vid.
The one in the coral highlands area is pink and gets all puffy, the rotten vail moly looks black/spiky and has longer claws and drools. I feel bad for that one but it is cool nonetheless.
Heck I still can't get a large gold crown Augurfly let alone the new fish, at least it gives me something to screw around with on days that I don't feel like doing much.
Personally, from experience, the apperance of the smaller jellyfish looking creatures atop the highest peak of Hoarfrost reach isn't 100% garantee that the giant one is there. Each attempt of mine on a clear night had the small ones floating but when i get to the top it's never there. One of my friends said that they caught the giant angler during sunset, I haven't confirmed it yet though. Apparently the blue gecko leads to the rarest gathering spawns during the upsurges. I didn't know that, that's so cool. This would've come in handy for me when i was completing my ingredients pre iceborne. 😁 By the way on an expedition, travelling from locales how long will the food buff last? For example i eat for the buff does it disappear right away when I travel to another region or does it stay for a fixed time?
@James Daniel Villanueva depends on what you mean by locale, if it's the guiding lands than a fixed time, everywhere else travel to a locale and to another it will where off
Arrowhead gecko was added with Iceborn, and the food buffs last until you die or return to base. The ones you have are shown under your armour skills, so you can see if going straight from one expedition to another gets rid of them

There are daily skills in the canteen called Macrobiologist & Microbiologist. With those you have better chances to get endemic life gold crowns.

When i found the Nettle there were no moon slugs at all, so even if there are none, look anyways!

rare moleys do not appear in any area's unless they are lvl 5 and up with 7 having the highest chance of a rare moley to spawn.

I accidentally came across the Moly’s in Wildspire Waste after fighting a monster and when I tried to capture one I got ants instead...
I am very unlucky with these Pets. 10 hrs hunting them and they never show up.
I actually discovered the Blue Diva during an expedition.
I was wandering around until I heard a bird singing. I turned around and saw it perched ontop of a coral. I of course figured it was a new iceborne pet so I tried to catch it and failed.
I found the flying jellyfish thing an the arrow head gekko on my first try.
U can put multiple of them in ur house go catch more

about arrowhead gecko i did found it at hoarfrost reach inside the cave which got so many wedge beetle
Always trigger the quest from the fisherman and the endemicliferesearcher before you go hunting for those rare pets!

...I just got the jellyfish to spawn on a run, but it turned to day before I got to the top of the mountain. I feel so depressed knowing what likely was.

Edit: There are molys in the volcanic region, apparently both are near might seeds.

The Moly does it matters what time of day? I see you got some in the day and some at night.
Actually you just need one of the rare molys for the trophy. So get one guiding lands area to level 5 (better level 7 for a greater chance), go there with zoomaster active and the trophy will be yours in no time.

i found something called the moonlight gekko. it looks like a regular gekko but it shines bright blue. like much brighter than the other gekkos. not sure if its rare or not.. forgot where i found it though. it was kinda random.

any help on Wintermoon Nettle? once i was attempting to find it on nighttime, and then there were Moon slugs hovering around, but by the time i reached topside, it was already dawn. i can't seem to find it since
A little disappointed there isn’t a tundra canine or feline of any kind.
Is there a way to see if the nette spawned before climbing? You can see the spot it should be from camp 7, but I don't know how far the endemic monsters can be seen since even with the 10x zoom penguins can't be seen from the top of the mountain on the typical bridge spawn.
How do you get your clock near your HP to look like that? Mine just looks like the day night symbol.

Try coral region at lvl5. Found mine at one of the two spawn points.
The fish at 3:55 resembles an oarfish not an anglerfish.
Do i need to reload the area entirely to reset the pets spawn or is traveling to another camp enough to do so?

Nice guide but, just to let you know, macaque is pronounced the second way you said it as macaque is an actual real life species of monkey, and the first way you said it, macaw, is a species of parrot, just wanted to point that out, anyway, great vid.
You forgot the two other Moly's that are exclusive the coral highlands area and rotten vail area.
The one in the coral highlands area is pink and gets all puffy, the rotten vail moly looks black/spiky and has longer claws and drools. I feel bad for that one but it is cool nonetheless.
Doesn't seem like the Wintermoon Nettle will always be there when you see Moon Slugs appear nearby.

Heck I still can't get a large gold crown Augurfly let alone the new fish, at least it gives me something to screw around with on days that I don't feel like doing much.
Took me a while to find it too. If you still haven't, I got mine in the Rotten Vale at night in acid rain from just inside the cat tribe lair.
My first mole I caught was a rocky moley and I did not catch any other moles and it gave me the trophy creatures of the earth. Was that a glitch?

Personally, from experience, the apperance of the smaller jellyfish looking creatures atop the highest peak of Hoarfrost reach isn't 100% garantee that the giant one is there. Each attempt of mine on a clear night had the small ones floating but when i get to the top it's never there.
One of my friends said that they caught the giant angler during sunset, I haven't confirmed it yet though.
Apparently the blue gecko leads to the rarest gathering spawns during the upsurges. I didn't know that, that's so cool. This would've come in handy for me when i was completing my ingredients pre iceborne. 😁
By the way on an expedition, travelling from locales how long will the food buff last? For example i eat for the buff does it disappear right away when I travel to another region or does it stay for a fixed time?
@James Daniel Villanueva depends on what you mean by locale, if it's the guiding lands than a fixed time, everywhere else travel to a locale and to another it will where off

Arrowhead gecko was added with Iceborn, and the food buffs last until you die or return to base. The ones you have are shown under your armour skills, so you can see if going straight from one expedition to another gets rid of them
