Thank you for your recommendation of Forest Ridge Campground. We enjoyed a week there in June and it was everything you said it would be. We would also like to thank you for your "Welcome" gift, which Jeff made sure to give us. Jeff and Lynn were very welcoming and helped us with there recommendations of things to see in the area along with the easy access to Acadia National Park.
We stayed here for 2 months. Beautiful area. Jeff and Lynn and their crew are wonderful to talk to and go out of their way to make your stay a great one. Would definitely recommend this campground when in the area.
So glad that you had a great stay with Jeff and Lynn!
Thank you for this! We just booked 5 nights. My 86-year old mom's wish to see Maine.
Finding an RV channel that isn’t just constant whining is refreshing. I have my first rv on order and am just soaking it all in! Thank you for your great advice.
Congratulations on the new RV! RVing can definitely be frustrating but we try to stay up beat about it and just go with the flow.
@@TravelswithDelaney Just brought it home last weekend! Was prepared for it, but still shocked at initial quality. (Jayco Jay Feather Micro 171bh). Do you guys have a parking and leveling video? Hardest part so far for new rv owner.
Travels with Delaney has a ton of informational videos with topics like that. Go to their list of videos and you’ll find everything you need!
Is that Carl camping next to you? Nice to see the T@B again! Have a great time in Maine...
It is!! Mark and Karen joined us for a couple of weeks this summer. It was so much fun.
Quiet and dark. Good combo for a good stay. Great review of a good campground! Thanks Patrick! Aloha!
Thank you! We really enjoyed our time there
This place looks really nice. We are planning trip up that way for the near future.
Thank you Patrick for showing this great and wonderful park in Maine. It did sound very quiet there. It looks very clean. Glad you had a nice time. Have a great day and see you and Patty soon! Tell Patty hello!
Fabulous place to stay. Nice review
Thank you
Sounds great!
Love Forest Ridge Campground! The sites have plenty of space and they really are serious about the quiet nights. Jeff, Lynn and the whole crew are friendly and ready to lend a helping hand or recommendation if you need it.
We love ❤️ it too! Great location and great people!
We stayed there in late September of 2021. We really enjoyed it.
We are back again this week and love it here.
@@TravelswithDelaney it is a great place. Enjoy the Lobster!!
A definite travel place on my list. Thank you for sharing and be safe.
You will love it!
Wow! Looks like a very peaceful spot! You can't beat having oversized spots. One of these days we will get back up to the Northeast. Thanks for sharing! Steve
We really loved it there. Clean, quiet and friendly staff along with a great location.
I'm glad you enjoyed Maine. I live here and it's amazing.
We loved it there. We honestly would love to find a piece of property to have as a camp base and maybe build a small cabin on.
@@TravelswithDelaney I'm trying to talk my husband into the exact same thing. Sell the house get a piece of land with hookups and an RV (the house is too big for us empty nesters anyway).
Great video Patrick, I added it to my places to stay in Maine.
It's a wonderful place. We may actually go back again next summer.
So I love both your videos.... thank you somuch
Thank you very much!
Thanks Patrick, we already made reservations for next year!
Have a great time! It’s such a great area to visit
Acadia is one of my favorite places. I've gone just any every other year since my kids were little. Now I go back by myself! I don't have an RV but lots great cabins to rent.
It is a gorgeous area!
We love to Camp at Mount blue State Park in weld Maine. It is on a pristine lake with a beautiful beach surrounded by Mountain View‘s the sites are wooded and private the campground is quiet and well-maintained a great place to experience Maine. There are miles of hiking trails all around.
Sounds great!
looks like a great place to stay. We had started camping over 12 years ago in our outback toy hauler and the kids including Ricky loved it. but because of Rickys autism we find we stick with what we know and know what he likes so thats Fort Wilderness is the only place we have camped. about 4 years ago we found that 2 adults and 2 kids has become 4 adult size people so we sold our camper and started staying in the cabins at fort wilderness he loves it so we keep going now that my daughter is almost 20 she is looking to move to Orlando and get a job at the theme parks. So I really want that Class C and hope Ricky will like it so we can break out and try new places.
dealing with living with a severely autistic adult I dont want to live a ground hog life
We do love Fort Wilderness! Probably the nicest campground we have ever camped at.
Maine is one of the 8 states I've never seen. Sure looks nice - & inspires great writing too!
It's absolutely gorgeous. Its one of the reasons we are considering going back again next summer.
Ellsworth is a great little town close to Acadia
Really like your videos. We are in New Brunswick, Canada. What type of camera do you film your videos with?
We film about 90% on our IPhone 12Pro. We do a little bit on a GoPro9. Thats mainly for time lapses and driving footage
Hope you will show some of the local attractions. Beside more power with the Tundra what were some of the other reasons you decided to make the change from the Tacoma?
Eventually there will be travel videos from that part of the trip. I just wanted to show off this great little park with a video. Towing capacity, payload and tongue weight were all needed with the new RV. I am a big Toyota fan. They have always done us well and they have amazing trade in value.
Patrick - did you look at any campgrounds on Desert Island? Were there disadvantages in not staying on the Island? We are going to Acadia this summer and looking to book our site this week.
Hi, Lance experter: I have an question : I want to buy 1985, but My Nissan Amada only have 8500 towing capacity. do you think is good enough to tow it ? Thanks
No. We had the 1995 Lance and planned to tow with new GMC Yukon with added tow feature. Terrible. Tongue wt is much heavier than Lance claims. (refer to Patrick video
for his info). Also auto tires have less ply than truck tires, so they lack the grip and surface coverage on road for handling. We found our 2500 GMC towed Lance beautiful. Sure a 1500 would too.
I would conquer with you. The actual tongue weight on our 1985 runs between 800-1000# depending on if we are carrying fresh water.
We have a 1985 and to answer your question I would say no. My F150 towed well but have since upgraded to F250 and it tows the Lance with ease even in the east cost mountains. Going up may not be a problem but coming down is another issue. Just an opinion, you will enjoy the 1985, it’s a great camper!
Thank you very much. So I want to change to 1995, do you think it can works ? very appreciate your help !
The 1995 has a lighter tongue weight than the 1985 which I think is a real plus. Our tongue weight is way too heavy for the trailer. I think the 1995 is a good choice with the same basic layout.
How was the internet connection there??
It was CRAZY Good! Like 100+ download. I have never had such fast internet in an RV park. I told the owner that and I could tell he was proud of their internet service.
I can hear the highway in the background.
Way to many times I see people racing up Rt 95 to get up North as fast as possible, and missing all the great areas west if that and missing all those toll's and traffic.
you are so right! That drive up the coast through towns like Camden and Belfast is so worth it.
Whata the rate 50$ a night to high
Sorry, but it looks like a parking lot.
much more convenient than Walmart
If you think this looks like a parking lot, you should check out some of the other "mega" campgrounds in the area. This is far from a parking lot not to mention the peacefulness of the campground and the amazing owners who make you feel welcome.
Agree, prefer state park CG's as they usually have some trees and bushes for privacy between sites. Some even have that rustic feel with their old growth forests, especially out here in the Pacific NW (OR & WA).
You must be newbies to camping. This campground is far from a parking lot type camp ground.
