  • Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Italy, addresses the general debate of the 78th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 19 - 26 September 2023).

    ----------
Giorgia Meloni, President of the Italian Council of Ministers, said, “We must reject the utopic and self-serving narrative of those who say that a world without nations, without borders, and without identities, would also be a world without conflicts.”
Addressing the General Assembly today (20 Sep), Meloni said, “It's a choice to create chaos and spread it. And in this chaos, which produces tens of millions of people potentially searching for better living conditions are infiltrated criminal networks that profit from desperation to collect easy billions. They are the traffickers of human beings who organize the trade of illegal mass immigration.”
She continued, “They charge thousands of dollars for trips to Europe, which they sell with brochures as if they were regular travel agencies. But those brochures don't tell you that those trips too often lead to death, to a grave at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea.”
The Italian Council of Ministers President stated, “These are the people that a hypocritical approach to immigration has made rich without measure. We want to battle against the mafia in all its forms, and we will battle against this, too. The fact is that the fight against organized crime should be an objective that unites us all and that also invests the United Nations and this place. Can an organization like this, which affirms in its founding act ‘faith in the dignity and worth of the human person,’ really turn a blind eye to this tragedy?”
She asked, “Can we really pretend not to see that no other criminal activity in the world today is more lucrative than the trafficking of migrants, when it is the UN reports themselves that have shown how this business has reached by volumes of money the same level of drug trafficking and far surpassed that of weapons?”
She also asked, “Can we really say that it is solidarity to prioritize welcoming not those who really need it most but those who have the money to pay these traffickers, and allowing the traffickers to establish who has the right to safety? I don’t think so.”
She concluded, “Africa needs no charity but to be put in a condition to compete on an equal footing, on strategic investments that can tie our futures together with mutually beneficial projects. In this way, we can offer a serious alternative to mass migration. This alternative is work, training, opportunities for nations of origin, and pathways for legal and agreed migration paths and thus also integration.”
    -----------
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. Comprising all Member States, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations. Each of the 193 Member States of the United Nations has an equal vote.
The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. Currently made up of 193 Member States, the UN and its work are guided by the purposes and principles contained in its founding Charter.
The UN has evolved over the years to keep pace with a rapidly changing world.
But one thing has stayed the same: it remains the one place on Earth where all the world’s nations can gather together, discuss common problems, and find shared solutions that benefit all of humanity.

So, the two ex-boyfriends of Meloni are the brothers in law of a terrorist who made a massacre.
Marcello De Agelis resigned his position as a spokerperson of Region Lazio he was fired because he said that his brother and the others condemned with him were not responsible for the terrorist attack in Bologna.
However, before resigning, managed to get his brother in law a job in the Region Lazio.

well said but the UN, World Trade organization, IMF...and all the international rigged laws guarantee a profitable global north and a struggling global south so that the global north stays prosperous on the level of their elites because if You look at it from a numbers perspective the global north citizens quality of life should be waaaaay higher than it is but I guess they had to make it look like it's the normal thing especially when compared to us and so both the north and south citizens perceive it as logical according to the difference between us but in reality the difference should be waaaaaay higher but it all goes to a specific class, I mean at least It would feel less painful when you know that regular people like us are profiting from our misery but in reality they're not, and we're both struggling for their wealthy...
I also laugh at those who believe in the West vs East rivalry, that's like a tiny dispute within family, no matter who wins it, they both belong to the global north and will keep things as they are if not worse to make up for the losses.

    • @the180degreerule3
      @the180degreerule3 Před 8 měsíci +3

I don't see what's happening in west africa as political liberation as long as the military didn't present a path to what's going to happen next and propaganda wheels are working on making the military seem as the perfect candidate which feels like previous coups from the military done for years and only led to much worse dictatorships...also, our problem is not solely ours because France and Europe are just one player in a much bigger team called '' the global north ''...reason why we are not alone, we have the entire global south being abused not just Africa...this west vs east rivalry is a thing amongst family, it doesn't matter the outcome, the west and the east will still keep the global north vs global south dynamic the same if not worse, so when people get excited about kicking out France while waving russian flags and totally ignoring American troops, I don't see it as political liberation but just another game...I hope im wrong, I want things to change for the better but majority of us are so caught up in their media and invested in the west vs east rivalry that doesn't concern us at all and regardless of the outcome the global north will still abuse the global south.
it would be mind blowing to found a whole new and independent concept of the world, let's cancel africa, south america, and south asia and found an entirely new empire without waving a single sword? imagine this '' the united global south '' China is listed as global south even tho their approach is similar to global north but things can change tho...all the global north countries proven to profit from our misery will be banned, no exports nothing at all, they can keep their exports and of course we will suffer at first with our own innovations and such but we will make it just like they did, just like our ancestors did, just like humans always do...that will be the KO, they can't wage war and coups all over the global south...let's reject the white man's ideologies starting with colorism and race theories invented to justify enslaving people by listing them as not humans so the ban wouldn't take place...let's reject their narrative about west and east and let's use the global north vs global south against them, let's have our own system could be a mix of capitalism and socialism, concervatism and liberalism, let's just create instead of adopting, let's think outside of what we were born and found before us, we were never supposed to play by their rules why? I don't even like this game we can start our own, the United Nations of the Global South, wanna talk to us? what are they going do except approaching us like the new state we will be...we won't be hateful or petty towards global north people, we are the Mandela people we hate injustice because it's injustice not because we are the victims of it, we do not accept it for ourselves and shall never force it on others for we respect ourselves and everyone else is how we should do it, in no time everyone will be on our side@@mohamedali2858

@@the180degreerule3 After America's victory in World War II, a new world order was established that serves the main founders of this system along the way.
      The biggest monument in history!
The United States of America violated the dollar regulations and began to print it without taking into account the available gold, without the knowledge of any country.
That operation was exposed by French government, which questioned America’s economic situation because of the Vietnam War and tried to replace $190 billion in gold but couldn’t, And the purpose of the Vietnam War was to install a pro-U.S. policy president.
Several months ago at a press conference in the Netherlands, French President Macron said France and Europe should get rid of US dominance in the economy, technology and defense.
When the Global South comes to the negotiating table with the West, they bring to the table what the West wants, and the West brings what the Global South does not want. The South says: "we will give you what you want in exchange for you not giving us what we don't want."
      The Global South brings resources.
      The West brings violence.
And the transaction is called by the West "fair trade".
If you wonder why they would deliberately impoverish you beyond your ability to survive financially, because it seems like that would be bad for business; your poverty is a commodity bought and sold by creditors. When you do not have enough money to survive; you borrow. That is why they want social services reduced or eliminated. You are not supposed to have any way to provide for yourself and your family except to enter into debt.

African doesn't lack food. Africa lack leaders who can wisely adapt methods to distribute the abundant surplus of foods left to rot in various African nations to it's neighbours.

they don't want to help you develop and make you independent because otherwise you no longer need them, this is how all countries behave, both Western and Eastern, such as China.
Only Italy is different, because it is not a country that needs to control others, it has interests in importing raw materials by exchanging resources, but it has never been a leader... if it were a leader in Europe, Italy would have no problems help Africa become independent and other countries know it.

@@elleanna5869 The history that we have studied and learned is the history of the European oligarchy and of the many nations of the oligarchy of distinct nations. We are hijos of the cultural hegemony of the national and western oligarchy. Mattei was an anti-fascist and partisan in the war against fascism, precisely the one opposed to the thought of the fish seller, daughter of that thought who uses the name Mattei to be welcomed by part of public opinion. Just hypocrisy. THE fish seller talks about ethnic colonization for migrants, because they have a different skin color than her, and are perhaps Muslims. Mattei was murdered by those very banking and industrial interests that the fish seller defends. Colonial, imperialist thought does not change in the West, it transforms, changes language, softens, but remains the same. A new humanist world needs knowledge sharing, as the G77+ China forum concluded. I personally propose the abolition of patents globally, but this would damage the capitalist system. Everything is contrary to the thoughts and those who defend and represent the fish seller

Excellent speech by the President of the Council Of Ministers of Italy, Georgia Meloni! She made so many great proposals that would strengthen the UN in the court of world opinion, especially reforming the "Security Council" so that it can no longer throttle the will of the General Assembly. Also, she upheld the proposition that it is the UN who must be granted the respect and authority to negotiate a settlement of the War in The Ukraine. There are endless lives in the balance in Ukraine and all of the nations who depend on their 'grain' exports. I will write another letter to President Biden to recognize the essential mission of the UN - and to utilize their skills of diplomacy - instead of the preponderance of weapons that he still seems to insist upon as the only way to stop the ambitions of Russian aggression. He is WRONG!!!
