  • With its step-through access and full-suspension technology, Moustache have really rocked the electric bike industry with a bike of superior engineering quality.
    Here Ben takes a closer look at Eurobike’s 2023 winner, with the eBike now available to test-ride at all stores in the UK; London Bridge, Cornwall, Guildford, New Forest and Silverstone. A more in-depth, high production review with the Founder of Moustache will be coming by the year end, 2023.
    It is no mean feat to produce a full-suspension electric bike and step-through electric bike respectively, but to produce a product that brings both of these features into one design deserves serious recognition, and proves Moustache’s capabilities as a world-leading eBike manufacturer.
    As one of only few full-suspension step-through electric bikes available, the Moustache J is aimed primarily at trekking enthusiasts who prioritise maximum range and significant comfort whilst in the saddle.
    The Moustache J is designed to be a practical jump on, jump off electric bike that can take you anywhere, anytime. With its easy access design, the J has made the adventure possible for anyone and everyone.

    Can't wait to test these, the Homage concept has always been a favourite.

      We'd most definitely recommend giving one of these a try. The Homage is simply beautiful, a majestic beast! Perhaps the J is slightly more nimble.

    Great review Ben. I bought my Royal Dutch Gazelle U380 HMB from you back in May. Similar to this e-bike and have since done over 1800 miles. Highly recommend to buy from the guys at Fully Charged. Hopefully see you when I bring my e-bike in for a service.

    Does the lock physically lock the drive chain so it can’t be pedalled at all?
    Where would you suggest putting a chain on this and what chain would you recommend

    Very nice bike, wouldn't want it in the UK because of our abysmal ebike speed limits.

      @@2JKO sure, on a e-road bike, but in my case is near impossible.
      Keeping up with surrounding traffic keeps me safe on the road as well as cycle paths or shared pavements. Being able to cycle at any speed between 1 and 30 mph is really useful and I how we will get legislation that will enable such ebikes.
      I'd be happy to insure it etc but right now that's not really an option. Once you register a powerful ebike as a motor vehicle, it's barred from the cycle lanes.

    • @2JKO
      @2JKO Před 4 měsíci +1

      i do agree, and so do 1,000’s of others which is why it’s so popular to tinker with these bikes (such as this one) to get the limiters to top out at 20. It is a hot topic but i believe sharing schemes such as lime should be 15.5 and privately owned ebikes that have been properly built by authorised and recognised manufactures should be 20mph and after market bikes with kits should have to go through safety testing to be able to be used on the roads by an authorised body - a bit like an MOT but when they are new to get a safety certificate (and it should cost £25 or so to get this. which would out off most of these deliveroo riders, nc they should be confiscated if they don’t have it. which would prevent fires and accidents

    Nothing about how fast it can go or whether it has a throttle or not. That bike looks like it has a throttle so you need insurance - no throttle no insurance needed jus tax and register(In Ireland at least) New e bike laws became law last week at flippin last.

    When they never find a single fault with any given machine and speak in such adulatory tones, then you know, for sure that you are looking at paid commercial.

    • @FullychargedUK
      @FullychargedUK  Před 4 měsíci +1

      sadly this is not true, not paid, funded by passion, enthusiasm and experience. We only stick a small number of brands and these are brands we have invested in for a long time. We could stock 50 different brands but we choose to only stock the ones we love and believe in.
