Shang Tsung and Quan Chi were restored after their deaths so I think it must be the same for all of the Light fighters, Liu Kang restored them all before sending them back to their timelines.

@kidprince8578 I assumed that was the point, though? They weren't the characters from Liu Kang's era, but titans gathered from other timelines. So that Shao was a titan.
I don’t think that’s the case since it doesn’t make sense for that Shao to fight on Liu Kang’s side even if he dislikes Shang Tsung, I think this is either just a random good variant Titan or a follower, like how there were multiple versions of Johnny Cage.
@nikhilcruz Yeah, that's what I meant. I'm pretty sure the variants were just random titans from random timelines, aside from kitana, Kung lao, and Raiden. I assume that's what it is, but that part is so badly explained, I don't blame someone for thinking otherwise.

So it could've been Shao, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi being the heroes whiel liu kang, raiden and kung lao being the villians and thus thats how we get Good variants of Shao, Shang and Quan Chi and them being titans of time.

I like how they made “good” counterparts to the evil characters when you pick them like shao and reikos robes instead of armor it’s a small detail but it’s cool

From how it looks in the characters point of view they should’ve made a kreate a fighter option but you can also just play with the base characters if you choose to.
I like the fact that Kitana don't know how to call her other self while both Mileena and Sindel just got that immediately
First thing I love:
-The names Liu Kano , John Kahner ( Connor LoL) , Scorp Lao and Stung Lao
Then the second thing:
- Scorp Lao's attempts at getting revenge each time a character and Kitana get past the Kombat Kids
Third thing is rather small:

Shao's response to Kitana is weirdly proud, almost dad-like. Makes you wonder what this "good" version of Shao Kahn is like in his own timeline. He still seems rather proud and arrogant, but perhaps his relationship with Kitana is far more affectionate. Perhaps he's her adopted father (except he actually wanted to adopt her and truly sees her as his daughter rather than a pawn), her biological father or at least a father figure.
