And I really like how he was telling his kids about how his Christmas experience was like when his Dad was around.
And it is so sad that his Dad died. And he really told his kids how much he missed him. And how he told his kids on what advice his Dad has told him when he was a kid.
I was skeptical when I first watched this movie, but was pleasantly surprised. Loved seeing so many of the original cast members come back.
Old Man aka Ralphie's dad played by Darren McGavin died almost 17 years old in 2006. Darren was 83.
This is such a good movie. And I really enjoy watching it a lot. This movie was released 39 years after the 1983 original The Story movie.

I am like you man. I get it. No family or friends. So, watching films like this brings me back to happier times and I get emotional. I normally hate sequels, but this was a great film. The original cast was back, the original sets. But at the same time, it was its own story and did not try to mimic the original film. I think the end where we are taken back to the beginning of the first film was a nice touch. The only character I wish was in this was the teacher.
