    That silo was built before redimix concrete, the way you can tell is each progressive pours had less and less actual cement in it, you can tell by the colors getting darker as it went up.

      Redimix concrete was invented in 1913

      No the concrete was mixed all through it so our mixer wouldn't have liked it very well

    concrete loses its strength because it is not watered

      The rebar started separating from the concrete and all the joints in the rebar were in a straight line up the side of the silo instead of being staggered
