This is indeed a prototype that B&M sold to seaworld in order to get the model attention in hopes of more parks wanting to build one. Seaworld was supposed to get a wing coster but B&M offered them 3 prototypes (Pipeline, Penguin Trek, and Phoenix Rising) in exchange for the price of a wing coaster in order to help B&M get their new model more attention.
These rollercoasters are not a new thing, stand-up rollercoasters have been a thing since the 90s, most of them were just removed in the early 2010s since they fell out of popularity. Six flags Great America and cedar point Ohio both had them until 2011 and 2015. The only difference is this one has more room in between each row.

I just rode this....a day ago...this ride is crazy lol....your feet leave the platform from time to time, and it's the craziest feeling. One of the best rides they have . Grade A ride

Went on a standing roller coaster once at six flags and it was the worst experience ever. Was all fun and games until you accidentally sit in the seat because it locks in place after you put any weight in it. The ride attendant had to keep unlocking the harnesses because people we trying to get comfortable and would accidentally go too far down then be stuck in an awkward position. The ride finally starts and we get all the way through the ride. They are now putting on new people in the other cart. Well something malfunctioned and we ended up being stuck on the ride for 2 hrs and 45 mins. At first people tried to stand but after awhile people got super tired and it was really really hot and sunny with no shade. So people started dropping like flies. A couple people started crying because the harness hurt or their legs were in awkward positions. The ride attendants couldn’t do anything and all they kept saying was the safety locks prevented them from unlocking us until one of the park mechanics came. The ride shut down for the rest of the day and the mechanics had to manually release each person from their harness. They obviously started with the people in pain but after that they got people off based on need. Like they let out a bunch of super young kids, elderly looking folks and a couple people who had diabetes and needed to get/drink. I was one of the last people off and let me tell you it ruined the whole rest of the trip for my family. We were all so exhausted and felt sick from the heat. We ended up leaving early. Thankfully they refunded our tickets so we were able to come back. But I would never suggest a standing coaster ever!

SeaWorld in Australia has very high standards I went the other day, all animals appeared happy apart from polar bears kept in enclosure while it was 30deg 90% humidity which I had to lie down to rest. The enclosure needed to be climate controlled I couldn't believe it was allowed. I've been to Thailand where panda bears are kept in climate controlled enclosure same temperature as in the wild

this ride is different, it has airtime instead of just focusing on positive g-force. Also, I've been on a standup before and I was fine after, but that probably depends on the person
I went on this exact ride literally a couple weeks ago. You feel perfectly normal afterwards. You don’t put pressure on your legs, it kinda lifts you up when you jump, and then you gently go back down. It’s super fun, doesn’t feel bad at all
Most of the animal exhibits are well protected from the loud noises, they are either far away from the big rides like this one or have alot of vegetation in between, and even during the behind the scenes tour you can't hear all the commotion.

I went on this I was begging to my mom before we even were moving to get off and then i got scared but when i went upside-down it was so fun. your legs come off the ground if your short like me, and the seats move. This was the best expeariance as my first roller coaster next im going to bush gardens and ride my 2nd!
All I can think about is the torque being applied to those bolts that hold you to the platform. I assume all the stress testing has been done and there isn't an issue with metal fatigue but with the center of gravity being so high, I would worry about those shafts breaking over time. Seaworld better do really good inspections of those shafts/bolts.
Standing coasters aren't a new invention luckily, but of course it looks like they've been improved upon. Cedar point had one in 1996 (RIP Mantis, I loved you though you rattled my brain every time I road you) before they rebranded it in 2015 (Rougarou, with floorless trains). Despite issues with comfort on the original coaster, I found the rebrand to be mediocre, which is pretty unusual for C.P.
Oh I hope this somehow has variable torso height. I rode the Mantis in Cedar Point one time. Not because it was uncomfortable in between the legs but because I had to hunch over to fit my body's height in, and good gods did that kill my back.
How is the comfort of the restraints? Thats always been the problem with standup coasters for me. Uncomfortable/painfull restraints (especailly for us men) that typically become worse as the ride progresses.

It really wasn't bad. And I'm top heavy. There's a hydraulic style bounce to the restraint super smooth motion.

I’m sure there’s an announcement for not lifting your legs, you also notice how they’re the only ones that did it? You don’t think they raised their legs on purpose when even the people in front of them didn’t have theirs in the air.
