It is. Its just the greatest cartoon ever made. Imo.
Turns out they were just puppets made out of meat and cheese this whole time. By wiggling the strings just right, they could "act". This amazing secret technique of "Meat Puppet Acting" was founded by Danish Cartoonist and Prison Convict Raymond Spum in 1909 from his jail cell in Two Shoes, Mexico, where he would entertain his fellow hairy lummoxes with his Daily Meat Shows.
I really like the level of violence they often got away with in these cartoons. You don't see that as often anymore and it needs to make a come back. The best is when they make Stimpy chew on Ren.

Love this toon, you can tell they've watched the 3 stooges, he's got a great voice, kinda sounds like Larry stooge.
Based on the documentary that's where the inspiration for Stimpy came from.

- The only orange acid I ever knew was "Sunshine" (from the mid 90s) but it was an orange circular sun design (IIRC) not the entire tab.

I just found out that Mrs. Pipe (the wife) shares the same voice actresses as Angelica Pickles, which isn't really a coincidence since Ren & Stimpy and Rugrats are literally 2 of the 3 OG Nicktoons that premiered on Nickelodeon, the other being Doug.
