      From what I understand, the Fever is a tax write-off for the owner and he doesn't really care about the team. If that is true, I wish Congress would rewrite some kind of commerce law regarding team ownership. If an owner of any sport is not concerned with trying to put a winning product together and they are just concerned with making money with ticket prices, food and merchandise, etc. or using a team for tax write offs, then they are defrauding the public and should be forced to sell to an individual or organization that will do the best they can to put out a winning product.

    It's almost the whole "team"... when CC hits the deck, no teammate moves quickly to help her up, if at all. No one backs her up when there is a rough foul. If you transpose what happened with her Iowa team, they had her back 100%. It's hard to watch honestly. I will say this, CC's defense is horrendous along with the rest of the team. They all skipped defensive practice their whole lives. I would be curious to see how many shots against the Fever are actually being contested. The Fever give up so many open shots it's stunning they are professional ball players. One last note, no professional should "struggle" with their layups. That just shouldn't be a thing at this level.

      Its funny you say that about her team mates not defending her on the court. I see the same thing and when their was confrontation her team m8's run over to her and push her back instead of confronting the opposition or getting in the oppositions face. I think that the jealousy is not only from opposition players but her own team m8's as well. Catlin needs to find a team that is willing to back her up all the time not act like catty self entitled gutless wonders. Not everyone can be the star so if its not you then your job is to make/assist the star player/s making them even better and the rewards for that kind of contribution will also lead to your success, but as long as you act like spoiled children demanding more of the spotlight rather than the success of the team as a whole you are going nowhere.

    When I look at the Indiana Fever, I think of two things. One their big players aren't any good, and two, their guards are worse! 😂❤
    Bigs are supposed to contest the ball, block out runners and generally protect the paint. They are doing none of these things. The Indiana defense is wide open as shown by how many uncontested lay ups these girls are gifting to the opposition.
    Whereas the guards typically are supposed to be quick, skillful passers and scorers of the basketball. But again this is something we're simply not seeing.
    Offense is slow, aimless and there's absolutely no strategy. Players like Wallace hog the ball run around and then pass the ball to players who are guarded rather than the open player.
    This is the antithesis of a typical basketball offense. Maybe if the entire Indiana coaching staff and administration are replaced, maybe they can improve?
    But if the owner doesn't get involved absolutely nothing will improve. 😢❤

    @patricklarson7564 Před 2 měsíci +4

    What the Fever needs more than anything regarding offense, is defense and rebounding. A better coached defense and better defensive personnel playing more minutes.
    As soon as she's healthy enough now that she's come back, 100% Temi should be starting and getting the majority of the PF/C minutes alongside Boston. Start Hull over Wallace and invert their minutes played. Move Smith to being first player off the bench to give the bench some scoring. And honestly even though she's played better over the last few games, I trust Grace Berger much more with the ball than Erica Wheeler.
    Also, the developmental coach or a vet or someone desperately needs to coach CC on defensive awareness (seeing the ball and person you are guarding/head on a swivel) and not getting picked off so easily, though perhaps that's better addressed in the weight room or in the offseason.
    After the season is over, they need to prioritize infusing some athletic defenders and rebounders into their offseason acquisitions, as the team as a whole is very ground bound and slow.

    Why should C C pass anything to her "teammates" who wont pass to her? She should call out sick a dozen times. See attendance fall and fans don't care. She makes them all better and they just can't stand it.
