In uk some people assume that the ,,fast lane,, means they can fly next to us doing 120 mph like that lane is only made for racers,the rest of us,the peasants, we drive in the rest of the lanes doing a max of 70.

Wait... You need to activate the parking feature first??? The Tesla just suggests it to you, when there is a clear parking spot. Wow, some car companies seem to have to learn a lot about UI and HMI first...
I thought that exact same thing. Tesla has the advantage in that it doesn't need to change gears at all (even from forward to reverse), but come on!

Drive an old XC60 and enjoy the assisted cruise control in the highway, very reliable and reduces driving fatigue (coupled with the excellent seats). Would bee nice to try this new XC60, sure it is even better!

I gotta say, automatic parking is great for people with only vision on one eye. It can be very overbearing to park, especially in reverse, without your full vision.

Great video! Lexus 2016/2017 models have these features but none (including Volvos) come close to what Tesla has developed.

Auto parking that requires shifting gears manually.
I assume that they could be able to make the full process automated, but they don't for safety reasons.

Not like some certain companies that basically treat their customers as guinea pigs to try out their unfinished tech on public roads.
@@BigUriel Good point. With that being said, most of said companies warn drivers to stay alert and not fully trust their systems (i.e. don't take your hands off the wheel, even though the car can steer/drive itself on specific situations).

Love your Mum Matt! Apart from her being hilarious, I think her review of the autonomous features is just so realistic and pragmatic, and doesn’t have any of the reality distortion field that us car nerds have!
Theres something funny and natural about taking mums out for test drives; when I worked for Opel I used to love using my mum as a guinea pig on my demos! Funniest was the time I let her drive the 2.8 V6 OPC insignia; when she took off from the junction, she barely exceeded 2000rpm in a petrol; was like she was accelerating in a wee corsa! hah

Blaze 125 Autopilot is also much easier to use (no 368282 buttons to control it and on this Volvo I never knew when it was activated or not - on Tesla that's easy to hear also due to intuitive sounds...). And why does Volvo put the info in the lower left side when there is plenty of space in the display in the middle? Oh wait, probably they did not want to copy Tesla, even though it would be better...
And do launch with 100D
The put it there because that is where the radar cruise would show up on P3 Volvo instrument clusters. So they are trying to keep things the same for drivers that have come from previous Volvos. Source: Have a 2011 Volvo S80.
Why would you want to put her in a level 2 autopilot vehicle when Volvo already has superior level 3 and level 4 autopilot vehicles sold to customers and on the street of Sweden?
Actually, Tesla has been copying Volvo three decade world leading self driving car technology for years. Volvo has level 3 and 4 autopilot vehicles sold to customers in Sweden. Tesla is still at Level 2 autopilot in production vehicles. Volvo design philosophy is safety. That autopilot provides audio cues. You don't have to look at the screen when the vehicle is parking. That way the drivers eyes can look out the window for additional safety if desired.
