Couple things to add. Y'all, if you have a scuba diving license, do check out our local underwater attractions: planes, boats and natural ledges. Its amazing. Check out the state parks, Huntington and Myrtle Beach. Huntington has the Atalaya Castle, a beautiful 20th century winter home. This is a fantastic video but the biggest thing when you get down here is ask us, the locals. We can point you to all the right spots. Cant wait to see y'all (figuratively) come visit my hometown! One other thing to add. If you dont mind the travel, go North on 501 to reach Downtown Conway. Located right on the Waccamaw river, its a beautiful old town with many a restaurant and stores to shop in. If you stop by, give The Trestle and The Ocean Fish Market a try. I promise you won't regret it.
I've been to Broadway on the beach market Commons garden City is beautiful also I usually go visit my family down there and there's a lot of golfing down there and mini golf and beautiful restaurants it reminds me a little of Florida 😊
Good info, lots of common sense involved.....We vacation in November to miss the "Tourist Season". We rent an entire beach house in Murrells Inlet and the entire extended family goes. We get a super low flat rate because my sister-in-law knows the owner personally. We always avoid all the tourist stores. (But my wife loves the candy store.) My only complaint is the rental car cost ar Myrtle Beach airport. It cost more per week at the airport, that renting a car in Buffalo, paying for gas and 4 hotels to travel by car. We fly now because I don't want to spend 28 hours (round trip) driving from NY. ALSO, considering retiring in the MB area.
A friend was in MB for bike week. I was told to check out the menu at the biker bar called "Suck, Bang Blow" on RT 17. Do they have good food? Also, my wife loves seafood, I need a recommendation for a good place south of Downtown.

I’ve never been to Suck Bang Blow before, but as far as seafood goes, there are a ton of options! I personally liked The Flying Fish in Barefoot Landing (although it was a bit pricey) You also might try Dirty Don’s or Mrs. Fish.

We stayed in our Bluegreen timeshare. If you’re willing to sit through a sales spiel, sometimes you can get some really good deals with the different timeshare companies. There are a ton of them there. Timeshares or Airbnb‘s would probably be your best bet, if you’re looking for something different than a traditional hotel. I hope that helps.
We had a great time at Top golf. Go on half price Tuesdays. Great view of the sky wheel and at dusk the lights go on and they play fun music!

If you book a room at ocean reef and get one looking at the beach you can actually see the Ferris wheel from there aswell

One other thing. Barefoot is in North Myrtle. We call it Rich Myrtle XD. Everything is a bit higher end down there, up there? Both I guess.

We just returned from Myrtle Beach- i would also recommend trying circus spectacle or a boat ride to see dolphins.
