I think 2023 *felt* worse than 2021 because 2021 was only 2 years after reveals, and in 2023, when the game was supposedly so close to being finished, felt pretty awful

I can actually easily follow this because I *just* looked through the entire Kickstarter not too many days ago. It was interesting reading through it and finding out what enemies were called at first and what they are now. It was also interesting finding out that they put out a slacker backer option on their website in order to get to their colosseum stretch goal they didn't quite clear. Yea, really interesting story.
Some of those backers didn't get characters in the game yet, so I'm sure that Team Cherry is talking to _some_ of the backers even now. Then again, once Team Cherry got push back for not putting out the game at the promised release, they hired Leth as their PR and stopped being as interactive with their backers...this is the point where I think that Team Cherry did the backers dirty personally. People had a right to be upset and frustrated and for Team Cherry to just clam up after a little bit of push back is pathetic...The funny thing about this pathetic move is that it was only a few backers that were himming and hahing about missing the release date. Most of the backers were still not only encouraging, but also understanding, so to me, it doesn't make sense why they buckled under so little confrontation, so little pressure...

I first started playing hollow knight in the later half 2022 and i also feel a bit frustrated with the lack of any type of new info about silksong.
I just can't imagine how much worse it must be for people who were waiting since silksong's was first announced.

Silksong will likely be bigger than hollow knight, which means it will take more time to complete, given the dev team has remained relatively the same size.
A comment about that Nintendo claim. Leth states in an interview on May 2021, that they intended the game to be a small thing and cost about $5.00. So they could have told Nintendo that it was going to release within the fiscal year, and when you consider they had a demo at E3 a few months later, it doesn't seem far fetched. Financial statements are filed with the US SEC, they need to provide accurate info at the time of filing, so I find it doubtful that Nintendo would name Silksong without TC telling them it was planned for release in that window.

Leth just said that all the leaks were wrong while everyone is saying in will come out late 2024 so does leth mean it will be in 2025
