Celeste is a game about climbing a mountain, with some of the most precise and difficult 2d platforming gameplay out there.
Scattered across the game, there is a total of one hundred and seventy six Red Strawberries to collect, as fun collectables to show off to your friends.
but after you beat all the main chapters of the game, the game unlocks 8 new chapters, and a total of 26 GOLDEN Berries, which you pick up at the start of any given chapter, and collect when you beat the last screen of that chapter.
if you die, you lose the berry.
This Was my greatest Gaming experience ever, in total i spent over 170 hours on goldening all the maps, and then another like 100 on making the video, so i really do hope you guys enjoy :D

Celeste is a very difficult platformer game with golden berries which are very hard with farewell and final goodbye, 202 berries has been done by many people including parrot dash who got all the golden berries in celeste including farewell d side, the d sides are a modpack extension which make the game even more difficult as the D-sides are truly a Harrowing journey to complete - Hry

remember, unless madeline dying is canon, madeline had to do this as well first try on all the levels
dying could be cannon in fwfw as badeline encourages her to keep going after you die a certain amount of times (farewell is also a dream so possible)
if i were to force a headcanon about it, i'd think the mountain gives her an intuition on the correct decisions to make in order to avoid death, which is not to imply she never dies, but that the intuition comes from the countless deaths she faced before the winning run. she just never gets an explicit vision of her deaths until maybe chapter 9, and most of the time she just experiences it _as_ intuition. like she slipped into spikes 50 times and finally on one run she goes "woah, better be extra careful here" and moves on without issue.
maybe its reaching, but it allows madeline to feel the mountain's pressure without having an exisential crisis over dying and coming back lmao

Using glitchy effects to subtly hint at the beast of fwg throughout the start of the video was great. Really captured the foreboding feeling as my berry count climbed towards 201

Congrats! I remember spending weeks on Farewell golden, playing on a Switch with joy-con drift with terrible lag spikes ahaha. Dying with the moon berry was actual pain, but got there in the end :)
farewell golden was already incredibly difficult with a good pc with modded and everything, i cant imagine doing it on a switch, thats crazy impressive
I've wondered about the people playing some of these crazy hard games on Switch. You all have to try even harder.
@@BurstVessels Speedrunning on Switch is tough, as you don't have Splitsave and other features, but I can take a Switch to uni, so its the easiest option for me. :)
@@calebp6114 I was doing it on switch but my grip-case broke and it's just not comfortable w/o it on a platformer so I switched to Xbox.
Also wanted proof that I had done it; I realize that it shows it on your switch file but Im gonna show-off once I get some of the harder cheevos. Might start one on Steam too, honestly this game is good. Can't believe it took me till now to play it, I was(and am) addicted to Hollow Knight and found that during COVID. I had seen clips of it but it's not well advertised anymore(maybe since everyone who likes platformers played it), I got it because it finally went on sale on Nintendo.
I used to love Super Meat Boy back in the day and I've beaten every level including dark world for everything except cotton alley(roughly equivalent to farewell), beaten main game on M/K, and gotten quite a few of the deathless achievements so Celeste has scratched an itch no other games have in a long time, and the dash and other mechanics take it above SMB, IMO. Not to mention the absolutely stunning art/beautiful story. This game is a true 10/10.
For any HK fans: I'm still working on the pantheons but I've done the speed running ones, fool, all dream bosses etc but steel soul is daunting and I can do P1/P2 ezpz but I am terrible at the beast rider fight so most runs end there and I can't practice against sly because I haven't beaten it yet, even though I've done almost every single boss that I've unlocked on radiant. I digress, love this game and the community, I think I'm going to go grind NKG some more, aside from the pantheon exclusive bosses he's the only boss I haven't beaten(gotten him to 25% with magic based build).

I thought 4B golden was extremly chill and was wondering how you did 6A golden in 3 something hours, while i took an 8 hour marathon AFTER learning the chapter.
That marathon was the best and worst night of my life.
Edit: Also i thought 6B and 7B weren't that hard but im really fucking scared of 8B(currently at 200 berries)

Honestly impressed you managed to continue with so many recon deaths, I got only 1 death in stubbornness and then none at all and even that one was HARD mentally. Congrats again ! As a super casual player that currently dropped the game for a while even before completing farewell and all b sides. Fwg seems like the absolute peak of a game mastery looking forward to some day getting enough time to grind at least all berries and 100% the game but without any golden. Maybe some day. fun fact that happened to me:
I got 201 berries at 04/01/2023
and then at 03/31/2024, I got the fwg, 202/202!
2024 is a leap year, so yeah, exactly 365 days (1 year) i got 202 strawberries!
And besides that, I was surprised when I saw your video because i'm actually doing the same type of video where I share my experience lol, anyways, gg!

I think my biggest problem with the Farewell golden berry is that it's a golden berry. It's in such a vastly different league from the other golden berries, most people with every other golden will NEVER complete their collection, and it kills my motivation to even try getting the rest. Personally, I think each segment of Farewell should have its own golden berry, and clearing the entire stage in one life should have its own berry type.
A platinum berry ;). The monicas D sides mod, has everlasting farewell, which is a nice and chill 300 room level which makes nornal farewell feel like 1A. This one has golden berries for each section and a platinum berry for the full level. None has done it yet.

hollow knight pantheon 5 is one of the hardest things I've ever done and i don't even think it compares to farewell golden.
as someone who got c-sides golden but gave up on 3-ag, I'm much happier observing this chaos from a distance.

I missed the first few pacepings because I was on vacation, but I was super happy I was able to be there live for the golden run.
I'd even credit you as one of the people who inspired me to finally go for fwg, and I got it!
I went for full clear because it didn't seem like too much added difficulty.
17 days of streaming many hours per day. 6 recon deaths, none in fwfw or moon berry!

I personally loved 4b golden but a big part of that is that that my favorite track in the whole game is 4b so i got to listen to it for hours 😁. One of the few goldens i was lowkey sad to get.
