I am so happy we have another leave in cream in the market! Level 3 leave ins are the best for me as well but their shrinkage is okay. This one seems pretty promising! I think the shrinkage happened because of the Arginine.

A much needed review video. I was interested in True frog for a long time, but didn't had courage to buy it 'cause one it's expensive and second I had a high porosity- more than medium curled hair which became excessive brittle only within a few months.But your channel gave me some hope and I learnt a lot about my hair type. Now I'm want to try true frog.let' s hope for the best for my hairs.🙏

Super helpful video. Always wondered about this brand. Will try the mousse for sure. Michelle, can you also please review Cantu range? I quite like the leave in conditioner for its hold and moisture retention, but haven't tried their other products. It's quite reasonable for the qty too, way cheaper than any of our other Indian products such as Arata and Curl Up

Most hair types don't require both. My hair definitely needs it though.

Hello michelle, i have your hair type but low porous, and my hair recently got overloaded with protein so i switched to some moisture rich products and now its fine...but if i continue using just moisture related products i'll end up overloading my hair with moisture. So can you refer any light protein products be it leave in or cream

Hi can you suggest a good shampoo , conditioner and mouse for low porosity wavy hair with oily scalp. If I use any other product than sampoo and conditioner my hair tends to weight down but in general my hair is dry
I've done a detailed video on products for low porosity hair.
Bdw everytime i style my hair looks great but my crown lacks density. It has medium volume but for some reason there isn't much density like i can see my scalp and my hair falls into a part on its own. so i was wondering if it is because my hair is usually weighed down. I use the curl up cream (a pea sized amount per section), 1 drop of olive or jojoba oil and enliven blue gel. I comb and scrunch to style and apply products by raking, roping and praying depending on how much hair each section has.
Try upside down styling or root clipping. See if it makes a difference.
Scalp visibility happens with low density and low medium density hair. I dont think it's about the product weight. I think it's about not starting your clumps at the root and being strategic with your sections when you style.

Honestly at this point you are like a personal curly hair specialist for me 😂 And it's funny how despite being miles apart you are more helpful than most stylists and specialists in my reach cuz non of them actually treats curly hair as a special type!😩They just treat it like straight hair 🥲
Hi can I use the deep conditioning mask on scalp? I read somewhere that it can be used from root to length.
This is how i generally go about it, if i see that the packaging says that it's a scalp treatment, then i use it on the scalp. If the packaging does not mention that a mask is scalp safe, i don't use it on my scalp.
On those weeks i use a pre-poo that will moisturise my scalp and take care of scalp health in general
After starting cgm 1st few days my hair was looking truely beautiful. But after somedsys my hair got frizzy. Could you please help me on that. I am using northwish shampoo, conditioner, arata cream and gel.
Curly hair does not look great on all days of the week. Everyone's hair looks frizzy post day 2 and 3. It's a very normal part of accepting CGM.
On those days you use a serum and wear your curls in a hairstyle. Try an updo. Make something else the focal point of your look. I posted a reel about this recently.

Yes. You absolutely can. I only use a conditioner as well as a dc because my hair needs extra moisture

The true frog range is Australian certified allergen free with regard to fragrance. Earth rhythm has a fragrance free range. Some of the products break me out so I won't review them

Then use the Earth rhythm products to be safe.
I get migraines too. But my triggers are warm fragrances. I'm okay with this range but I can't speak for you.

Totally depends on you. If you hair can take a heavy dc on every washday then go for it. If your hair requires a lighter product the conditioner is better.

heyyyy a query.. when i wash my hair and dry them the curls are gorgeous but when i comb my hair it becomes as frizzy as grass tbvh more than grass i can say... what am i supposed to do cus my mom doesnt let me stay alive without me combing my hair everyday 😭
Part your hair neatly, when conditioning and styling, so that u can keep the part throughout the week, change the part regularly. And, show your mom the before and after combing, to convince her I guess..

Is the leave in conditioner lightweight? Does it weight the hair down ?
It's not *a light weight formula. It's moderately thick and creamy. Comparatively moisturising. I did do a comparison video which might help you understand the leave in compared to others in the market.

Do you lose any hair during styling or only while detangling with conditioner?
I don't lose hair when I'm styling. But when I use a brush to style or when I flip upside down i find myself losing a couple of strands of hair on occasion. I generally use a comb because it's much easier on my hair compared to a brush

I did the upside down routine with mousse, but my root volume is still low, maybe I didn't shake my head enough😢
Some mousses give you more volume than others. So maybe that's the issue?

Hi! What is the quantity of the leave in conditioner and the mousse? It isn’t mentioned on the website.
The leave in comes in a 200ml tube.
The hair mousse comes in a 150ml bottle.

Ordered the true frog leave in cream and the curl up gel
I loved the results curl up leave in cream gives me but I noticed lot of flakes and itchy scalp. After the mention of dmdm hydantoin I'm a little skeptical. So switched to true frog
You know what though? They've removed the dmdm hydantoin now! Anyway, use less of the true frog leave in cream. It's heavier than the curl up cream. It will surprise you but a little bit goes a long way.
@@MichelleManuel can u make a video on how to decide how much leave in/ cream is enough for your hair? I used exactly 8 grams curl up curl cream and my hair looked amazing until day 4, just as u suggested. But I did the same thing with Tru frog and my hair is weighed down 😭
Yes. Absolutely. I agree. With the true frog you need very very little.
You can squeeze the section of hair between your fingers to see if it has enough product. Or if* you have a measuring spoon or weighing scale, you can use the trial and error method and note down each reading and compare results with pictures. That's what i do. I always measure the amount per washday and compare results.

I bought shampoo and conditioner for all hair types from true frog and that literally increased my hair fall 4x and took so much of water to get the soapiness removed from the hair. Total waste of money
Hairfall can happen when you make the switch to sulphate and silicone free products. When I started cg I experienced some hair fall for sure.
Losing hair while detangling can also happen when you're new to detangling on the curly girl method. Detangling does take some practice.
Hair loss can happen when an allergic reaction occurs. It's terrible when this happens, but it does in fact happen sometimes when we're allergic to an ingredient. I've experienced an allergic reaction once to a different product and so I know just how traumatic it can be. :(
