Join me as we dive into the Miami Hurricanes' defensive line for the 2024 season! Tyler Baron (6'5", 260 lbs) from Tennessee, who recorded 6 sacks and 41 quarterback pressures last season; CJ Clark (6'3", 305 lbs) with over 1,400 Power Five snaps;
Simeon Barrow Jr. with 110 tackles, 10.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 30 starts at defensive tackle;
Elijah Alston from Marshall, a top-graded pass rusher by Pro Football Focus with 35 quarterback pressures, 5 sacks, and a 91.3 overall defense grade;
Marley Cook, who squatted an impressive 705 lbs during offseason workouts, CJ Clark an NC State Transfer to started the last 5 games in 2022 and defensive end for NC State, in 2023 he played all games at Defensive Tackle.
Also Malik Bryant (6'2", 235 lbs), who has gained 25 lbs since transitioning to defensive end.
Plus, meet the future stars: Justin Scott, Marquise Lightfoot, Cole McConathy, Armando Blount, not mentioned: Artavius Jones. There are more depth peices and rotational guys currently at UM, I wanted to focus on the incoming talent and already established guys on the team for this.

I’m gone keep saying it even when the season starts. This Defensive Line will be Top 3-5 in the nation. They will be Top 3 in Sacks Ultimately this Defensive Line is going to Wreck Havoc and Be A Nightmare for every Team that we play this upcoming season. I was writing the pregame matchups for The Miami Hurricane student newspaper at this time. Nobody gave Miami a chance going into this game and in my research, I kept finding photos (this is the early days of CZcams before game footage) of Marcus Vick holding the ball away from his body. I wrote that if Miami can get pressure on Vick, they would create turnovers and blow the game wide open. I argued with my editor that I wasn't being a homer, I was just reporting my findings. I could not have been happier for the guys to prove me right. Go 'Canes.

Most are talking up Cam Ward and the offense being the strength. I’ve been saying it’s the defense with an outstanding front 7. The DBs I feel are getting underrated especially considering they will be helped by the front 7 putting pressure on opposing QBs. There is no great Canes team without a great defense!🙌🏼
