    How can someone be this beautiful and smart at the same time? That's not fair! Thank you Stephanie for being a bulwark of the pro-life position.

    All her silliness (singing Mary Poppins etc.) does not belong in an anti-abortion speech. It is a serious matter. Discussing when life begins is also silly, because there will never be agreement. One thing we should all agree on is that we do not own anyone else’s uterus, and what goes on there is none of our business. Aside from the issues of bodily autonomy and privacy, i don’t trust the government to make personal decisions for people.

      Pro-choice is the most hypocritical statement ever, call it was it is, Pro-killing. People such as you take the choice, rights and bodies of another human person!! Imagine if your own mother had you killed in the womb, where then is your choice? Where then is your rights? Where then is your body?

    People think that abortion for a woman is a quick fix in a difficult situation,but it is deeply traumatic and has a long term impact on the mother. The later the abortion the more traumatic.In countries which use abortion as a form of birth control,so many women are suffering the terrible mental and physical consequences of repeated abortions.

      Yes indeed. And the baby inside the womb is NOT the mother’s body. It is a separate body INSIDE her body. 👍

    • @bonvoyage4212
      @bonvoyage4212 Před rokem +1

      @@williamstdog9 First off, it's literally inside and connected to her body, that's not the definition of "separate" but the exact opposite. Second, something that has no viability to begin with can't claim personhood and you need personhood to have bodily autonomy. Third, you missed the point. Bodily autonomy doesn't give you the right to use someone else's organs, blood etc. for your own body, against the will of the other party, doesn't matter if you will die as a consequence of not getting them.

    Concerning Stephanie's appearance on the podcast "Unbelievable"...
    Stephanie Connors presented her case in the episode on abortion. I feel Christians could make a stronger point if they would stop playing fast and loose with logic as Stephanie did.
    1: Stephanie says “Abortion, which commits homicide on the youngest of our kind…”. The correct word should have been “kills”. “Homicide" is a legislatively determined category of illegal killing. We don’t use the word “homicide” for wartime or self-defense killings. Her choice of the word appears to be an inappropriate attempt to borrow from the negative connotation of a crime designation.
    2: In an attempt to claim even newly formed embryos are valued by God, she says John the Baptist “…probably hadn’t even implanted then”. Then is the time at which John the Baptists allegedly “leaped” in Elizabeth’s womb. Embryos do not leap, much less have emotions leading them to “leap with joy”.
    3: Stephanie says, contrary to Evangelical beliefs, “Humans are so valuable to God that…he’s willing to die for us”, then equivocates on who Jesus died for. Jesus did not die for embryos who will go directly to Heaven if aborted. Jesus died only for sinners.
    4: Embryos do not have less value if they are killed. Neither the Amalekite infants ordered to be killed by God had less value, nor the fetuses of adulteresses properly stoned to death had less value if you subscribe to Evangelical doctrines. Stephanie seems to ignore her own belief system in making the claim that the intrinsic and objective value of infants is somehow diminished if they are killed.
    More and more young Christians are well-versed in critical thinking, and these logical blunders, whether intentional or unintentional, will not go unnoticed.

      @andrewgunawan4502 Před 2 lety +3

      3. But don’t the embryos, by nature of being descendants of Adam, have original sin contained within them, not yet cleansed through baptism

    • @maddielopez8625
      @maddielopez8625 Před 2 lety +1

      1. Well this would be neither wartime nor self defense so how would you categorize it?

      @@maddielopez8625 Don’t abandon logic when arguing for any position. Call it "killing" instead of mendaciously invoking a word referring to something against the law.

    • @williamstdog9

      What a joke. So according to you, when the nazis were slaughtering the Jews en mass, it wasn’t technically “homicide” because they had changed the laws to make that type of killing legal. Thus, when they dragged a Jew out of their home and shot them in the head it wasn’t technically “homicide” to you, because that would imply that the killing was ILLEGAL, which it was not - according to German law at the time.
      Good one bud 😅👌
      No. Stephanie was CORRECT when she labelled the murdering of the unborn, “homicide.” Cause that’s exactly what it is. And someday the laws will catch up to the truth of the reality of what abortion is: the direct & intentional killing of an innocent human being. 👍

    • @btopines9922
      @btopines9922 Před rokem

      @@philstilwell the most basic definition of homicide is the killing of one human being by another. True there are legal definitions that have been codified but your criticism seems overly nitpicky. Her use of homicide was intended to add force to her argument... Abortion is a willful act taken by one human against another innocent, defenseless human. It is the wrongful killing of an innocent human being.
