Man, you are an excellent teacher. What separates a good teacher from a bad one is: the ability to transfer your knowledge. Thanks.
You are welcome...
Sun Shine i agree. thanks mark. just got my bike. watched this and feel better
Mark Nowhereman You inspired me to learn how to ride, thanks man
+Mark Nowhereman okay so I have got a question. So when your coming up to a red light and you need to stop, you go into neutral and then press the break or will it slowly stop over a short period of time? I know this question may sound dumb, but I just want to make sure.
+The Anonymous Universe when your coming to stop as you slow down you shift down gears e.g. 4th 3rd 2nd 1st & you stop in first gear
This is the most detailed explanation I've seen on CZcams so far on how to how to ride a motorcycle from the ignition to fear change. Thanks man you are a very good teacher. This was really helpful
I’ve never ridden a motorcycle or a manual before but am considering getting one, what would happen if you didn’t slowly release the clutch when gear shifting and just fully let it go and hit the throttle at the same time?
One of two things.
1: stall (engine no run no more)
2: you launch your ass brutally into the atmosphere (go very fast and probably hit car)
Thats s big "NO! NO!..DO NOT TRY THAT...
Yes you’ll go flying he is explaining it pretty well tho
@@alanwatts4354 lmfaooooooo
So if I’m in like 4 or 5 gear and the light suddenly turns to red can I jump from 5 to N or gradually shift down the gears to N?
Came across your video thanks man this video. Teach me alot
Quick question so anytime the rpms get to around 9 or so that’s when I should be shifting in each gear so let’s say I’m in second and I’m giving it gas it goes up to 9 is that when I’m supposed to shift up to third and so on or is around what speed.
I know this is a 10 year old video so it’s a long shot but… where did you get all those carbon fibre bits for the 2008 ninja, I just bought one in blue and I’d love to have these.
you are very good man thank you very much for information
Question… as I shift gears and slowly release the clutch, do I still continue holding the clutch the entire ride or do I just have to slowly release it and then pull the clutch when I have to shift gears again?….
I’ve never driven manual or a motorcycle but really wanting to invest in a bike.
Wondering the same thing
At first I didn't think I could learn because of your accent, but that was ignorant of me.. Your lesson was more in depth than any other I've ever come across, and I've watched a lot. Loved every part of this video. Thanks Mark Nowhereman, for taking the time to do this video.
What's wrong with my accent? We all have accents, depending on where we grew up/came from. Thanks for liking my video.
Mark Nowhereman I don't speak tagalog but damn are you guapo!! I'm about to start learning about bike riding and your video gave me a great idea of how to start so thank you so much :D
i've been searching up questions about shifting up and down, stopping, starting, and many stuff more...and i pretty much learned...but when i saw this video..it made things so much easier to understand the concept!! Thank you!!! Subbed!
This was by far the best video I've seen of how to operate a motorcycle and start and place it into gear etc. I am planning on getting one really soon been wanting to get one but just been very hesitant b/c I've loss a couple friends on bikes but I just told myself I don't allow friends whom I've loss in cars to stop me from driving so why in the hell would I let that hold me back mentally when it comes to ridiing a bike. I believe I'll be safe riding but I've got to be super cautious b/c in the area i'm in there's a lot fo traffic and people don't respect the riders like they should
I was confused with every video i watched , but this one made sence thanks
You made it easy to understand how to ride a bike. Nice video.
I have watched several how to videos on riding bikes, and this is the first one to go into so much depth with how the shifting works in a Kawasaki Ninja. Awesome.
Nice vid you are a great teacher
awesome!!
ewilliamsz2099 dear racer .. you can visit my official website for new amazon bicycle--

Kevin Qujada hello
Great lesson about how the gears work, most tutorials don't make it simple enough for someone who has no idea but you break it down nicely and don't go to fast.
I have been nervous about learning to ride; your tutorials/videos have made me more comfortable about bikes and learning to ride. Merck, Thank you!
Now 24 Years old, going on 25 And It's gonna be my first time riding. Thanks for your knowledge and time to teach! gonna apply this before i go to the DMV
Best motorcycle lesson ever made!Thank you brother!
Enjoyed your helpful clip. I'm a 50 yr. old scooterist looking to transition to a motorcycle later this year. I've discovered-albeit at the advanced age of 50-that the world of 2 wheels makes for very fun transportation!
this is the best video for beginners who wish to learn bike...I checked many videos but no video made sense as yours
simply awesome, great video, great teacher, made all clear and simple to understand :) totally recommended to beginners like me
A very informative video indeed. For someone like me, who has no knowledge about motorcycles, this was very easy to understand. Thank you! :)
You are welcome..
This thus far the best explanation video on how to ride a motorcycle. Thank you so Much and much respect to you. Getting a ninja 250r for my first bike
Best tutorial I've seen today.... looking to buy a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250r and he explained everything just right💯
Noob Question: That 1st gear to Neutral gap is kinda difficult to feel tho, i'm thinking i wouldn't be able to properly feel it if i scooped it halfway up or just totally switched to 2nd gear. My question is, what will happen if you are running on 1st gear and suddenly you have to stop for some reason(maybe an unexpected car on your front stoped). Then let's say i panicked and pressed on the clutch then scooped too hard up to 2nd gear instead of neutral? Am i dead now?
same thing happens with beginners including me
Well depends on the speed you on
if it's like maybe around 50 then probably yeah
JayDen you pull in the clutch and apply brake. after you are done braking you can the shift down or up
@@devil1989 which brake?
Why Italian flag on your motorcycle when u're riding a japanees one???
Thank you for the video. An aspiring motorcyclist, such as myself, should know as much as possible before they get behind the wheel of any bike. Great Tutorial.
Mark I have watched tons of instructional videos, but this one was THE BEST, the repetition was annoying BUT very much so needed to drill it into my head, thankyou so much for your video :)
Lol... asian drivers and their blind spot mirrors. They need them because they dont know how to shoulder check.. you should ALWAYS shoulder check for your blind spot before changing lanes. Convex mirrors are not a substitute for a proper shoulder check... good bike lesson, but wouldnt take a driving lesson from him haha.
he said in the video that he only has them cuz he has neck spasms
what the hell is wrong with you? being asian has nothing to do with it he said he has muscle spasms in his neck dont be racist asian drivers are just as good as any other and if you think what race you are has any thing to do with anything other than how you look than you have got some issues
Lolol calm down calm down
If any of you actually drove you'd realize asians are just worse drivers as a statistic, when you see someone driving slow, cutting people off, or just horrible, and pull up to their car, they are almost always asian, or indian. (In case you didnt know indians were also technically asian)
Clearly none of you have driven in Canada, at least not Alberta where apparently anyone can fkn immigrate here.
Holy shit your stupid the guy is not even Asian dumb fuck.
Thanks bro just copped a 250 and listening to you I should be able to get it going. Good job! Keep going!
i liked the way you explained the lesson calmly and just right and reapeated yourself, not like other blogs, im a bigginner motorcyclist and it healped me alot.
This video is the best video tutorial I have seen in a long time. It was great to have such a clear explanation and demonstration of the gears
This is the best and most simple explanatory video on bike riding for starters especially to a lay mans understanding. Also the camera getting closer enough to shoot everything he explains is the most excellent. So, without a teacher I believe I can move a sportbike on my own. Thanks man GOD Bless you. The request I have this new year is that you please make a clear and easy explanatory video as this on the following: 1) Breaking a bike at every point. 2) Counter steering and where and when to counter steer. 3)Throttle wheelie. 4) Clutch wheelie. Thanks man..
You're an incredible teacher. I learned so much from this one video. Happy ridding.
I've watched other videos that attempt to help you learn how to ride but this video has a lot more little tips and hits to help beginning riders such as myself
wow I watched a lot of guides but after yours video everything makes sense and I understand it! thank you:)

Really really helpful video thank you very much your a good teacher.
Filipino Represent fam!!!! Great vid!
Thank you bro! You are an excellent teacher ever!
You are so awesome.. You helped me so much. And what a great teacher you are too. Im so grateful. Thanks.
Really informative... helped me to get a good understanding of gear shifting.
If I'm in 5th gear and I came to a quick stop before downshifting, does it goes all the way down if I press clutch once? or do I have to press clutch every time to downshift.
You are great sir and thanks for excellence teaching
You are great and most extra ordinary teacher in the planet,,,You tutorial is just like in a real world to me thanks dude
Its a good video. This will attract all the nerds to try riding big bikes.
YOU ARE SUCH A PATIENT TUTOR LOL LOVE IT!!!!! THMUB UP!!!!! :)
As we approach say a traffic light and we have to stop the bike, So first we downshift to neutral and then in order to keep the engine running we need to keep engaging the clutch and then brake , right ?
Thank you so much for your videos very very helpful you rock my friend 😎
so nice as a not good student out there here it here is the man u will understand literally ...nice idol
Im gonna get a yzfr125 14 plate soon this has helped a lot... New sub :)
Wow great knowledge of the bike very impressive video and thanks for the upload.
Very tedious yet very helpful..thanks!!
Helpful in 2018, Good job.
Awesome tutorial. This was a great help. Thanx
This is about as basic as you can get. Lot's are complaining about how you explain more then once or point out the obvious. but some don't know so, either way. good job.
lets say if i drive to an intersaction i step on this thing and go to neutral and then step again all the way down so its in first already while the light is still red. so i only have to hold the clutch. and when i dont want to hold the clutch i stay in neutral and go to first when its green right?ah yeah and if i wanna change the gear i m not allowed to throttle right? (i m still young wanna do driver license next year . with 16 we can do a driver license for 125 ccm in germany butthe gear system is on every bike the same right?)
i really enjoy the video. Thx for sharing
I have one question. When you are shifting gears whether up or down, do you release the gas while pulling the clutch? Otherwise, you are great at explaining the process thoroughly.
I am not a beginner but every once in awhile, I like to take a look at these types of instructions just to see what people have to say. I have to say, good job. You didn't just talk about it but you showed the audience what you are talking about which is, without a doubt, an important factor. Beautiful bike btw. I own a Ninja 650R and I am about to get a Ducati Streetfighter.
Thanks man you rock with this video very good explains, thank
Thank you so much for posting this!
Thanks dude. It was soo usefull to me as a beginer
Thanks for sharing this knowledge sir
i have a question for whoever i guess can help me.today when i ride it home and i need to shift to a higher gear when i go to pull in the vlutch do i need to let go of the gas AND THEN regas it after i let go of the clutch???
Great job dude!
