This song and the Wild Rift Star Guardian event happened the day before my mom first got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and she passed away last night. I often played this song throughout the year-long battle, but now there is peace. This morning was a rainy mess, but there was sunshine in the afternoon. I like to think it was her. This song will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️

Probably the most beautifully crafted song I've ever heard of Porter's. The way he sings, the way he writes such beautiful melodies and lyrics and climaxing it with his unique Drum and Bass performance is something out of this world.

I know this isn't technically a Nurture song, but it feels so nurture aesthetically (and I fell in love with that album's feel and aesthetic) that I personally consider this a Nurture track, along with extras like Fullmoon Lullaby and Musician part 2

I think Porter is slowly shifting from his EDM era (Spitfire, Worlds, etc) to a more synthpop/lofi-ish one (Nurture). And it's such a nice evolution tbh, I like his current style, it's so good! The next album might go more into it

Absolutely, Porter went from like EDM epic nostalgic Anime music to nostalgic slice of life Anime music :P with the Wolf Children soundtrack as his inspiration for it. This would fit perfectly in the Nurture album
A lot of Porter's songs are about learning how to move on in life. I really appreciate it because I'm always going through hard times but his songs are what keeping me going.
"We'll do the grieving while I'm by your side" is a line that really hit me. My brother has been in and out of the hospital these last couple of weeks in pretty serious condition. In other words I didn't know if he was going to die and tbh I still don't know. I have more faith now than I did but things are pretty bad still. So that said, I have been going through the grieving process while he is still "by my side". This song though is helping me with that grief. While I'll be heart broken if he does pass this song reminds me that life will continue on. *Edit: my brother is out of the hospital and well. 🙂 Honestly this song amongst other things have really helped me turn things around and life is going pretty fantastic at the moment. *

Man crossing over "Suffering" at 2:40 is such a small but strong imagery. I never realized that "you weren't anymore" could also mean "you weren't suffering anymore". The small changes to lyrics you see really gives another dimension to the song and the emotions it is trying to convey.
Porter did a stems breakdown on this and a little bit into his vocals he's talking about earlier on in the song he was imaging being in a hospital when writing the 43s to 1min ish part of the vocals and that just doubly hits home with what you brought up because it's like they passed.

Ngl, wasn't a huge fan of Porters at first. But my partner introduced me to his music a couple years ago and we've gone to a couple of his concerts and seen him recently as Camp Nowhere he is an amazing performer. One of the few celebrities/artist that makes you feel appreciated and realize that he's human just like the rest of us.

My dad just passed away unexpectedly two days ago at night after our family having fun in a beach.. It was all great until he suddenly have trouble breathing at night while getting ready to bed and passed away on the way to the hospital.

I never heard this song until today when I picked up an overturned card on my bedroom floor which turned out to be a greeting card from my grandmothers funeral from earlier this year. I look down at my phone playing random music and saw the title “Everything Goes On” and began to feel overwhelmed by the synchronicity so I sat on the edge of my bed to look out the window while holding that card with her beautiful photo on it and that’s exactly when the verse “Well you were staring at the window” began and I just totally lost it.
