- When Seoul Dynasty took on the Los Angeles Gladiators in Week 8 of the Overwatch League, we were able to bear witness to an extremely high caliber of play between these two teams.
Coming into this series with a creative Doomfist composition, many fans were eager to see how the LA Gladiators would fair against the revamped Seoul representatives. However, as the series progressed it was clear that the Dynasty had done their homework and were ready with a tactical counter.

How do you feel about the way hero pools are managed at the moment? Has it been a net positive or negative impact since the system was introduced this year?
Akshon Esports negative people can’t play what they want because of the bans and some characters have been banned 3-4 times ( mecree and widow)

Hate it pepehands. Thought it would be a good addition, [spoiler] it’s not.
I like it. It demonstrates just how pro these players are by having to constantly change it up. Teams can adapt by signing somebody to cover the gaps when certain players are not comfortable with certain available comps, sure; but most of them don't need to and are instead finding their own playstyles that will define them.

@@lucagallo8932 Naw, even if he didn't make the mistakes he did Mirror still whiffed a lot and would've been useless because he missed. That's what happens when you have an off game and/or get countered on a hero like Doomfist. No idea why they didn't switch him to another hero because Doom wasn't generating the plays needed to win.
@@night4345 As we both know, a single ability usage can completely shift a teamfight , I just wonder what wouldve happened if mirror actually recieved more bubbles . Maybe he would be able to escape with a slither of hp and force out important abilities such as immortality field.
@@night4345 Some of it was definitely space's fault by missing bubbles but I agree whiffing was what killed it.
jeez, i wonder how many times these guys have to watch the replays to know what’s going on from all perspectives... very impressive

The skill level in here is not human anymore......
it is human just the video makes it seem like they intended to do 100% of the things they did, and like it was all planned out
I mean they are the best in the world... what you see in the owl is the best possible mechanics, comms and team comps one team can run
Nikolas Anastaselos I understand but the video makes it seem like they intend to do these 900 iq plays (I’m talking about mechanics of individual play), when in reality they are just playing the game
BaconOrigins but they do intend to do what the video says, they have strategies and every play is practiced in scrims
BaconOrigins the don’t just play the game, if you’ve played Overwatch for a long time and have researched the game you can understand the thought that goes into every play by watching them. Almost everything is planned out in practice

The people that complain about solo carry potential in Overwatch miss the whole beauty of the game. Overwatch's depth of teamwork is unrivaled in the FPS world, and the things a team can do together when executing properly are just awesome to watch and do. In competitive, teams make plays all the time but rarely actually understand why what they did worked. That's just how complicated the game is.
All the more reason to love in depth visual analysis videos like these!

@@MefoWho Overwatch has an excellent balance between individual impact and team dynamics. HotS was a MOBA competing against 2 giants that already dominated the genre.
The match can be summed up as Mirror messes up with poor Space trying to save him but none of the bubbles connecting.
I like the hero pools! They force teams to be more creative and think outside the box. I have had a lot of fun in comp with it!
I think the idea is excellent but we're just meta cycling. Widow and McCree have been banned for the third time now and Echo will probably receive a second ban next week because her playrate will be high once again

Kieran Calverley that’s the point of it though, instead of being stuck on double shield for 8 months, you rotate between that, dive, brawl, etc. There isn’t always a week x meta (that’s not why it’s there anyways), but you also aren’t stuck on Moira/Orissa jail for multiple months.

I really agree with how the hero pools really help make the games much more interesting. I was personally hoping for choosing which heroes to ban, but I guess this is good enough.

This is such great analysis!!! A lot goes into this. I wonder why they didn't swap once they began countering them. I see the strategy they are going for and like the video says it can work if you make no mistakes. But continuing running Hammond and doom into a mei, Mccree, and brig seems counter productive.

man gladiators have always been my fave team. From season 1 to now they've always had the most interesting comps. Even though the players changed. Must have some creative coaches.

whats the point of using a doomfist comp if doomfist uses no rollouts to atack?
rollouts use all of your cooldowns and some rollout spots are illegal, like wherever you get a jump up.
