Hey friends! Welcome to another creepy video where instead of scaring ourselves with fictional worlds, we'll be scaring ourselves with our very own one. Today I'll be telling you about USOs - the underwater equivalent of UFOs. I'll explain their history, the official views from the navy, as well as some of the creepiest real-life encounters that have been documented over the years with these objects.

Took me a second to realize that this was about IRL things, not random easter eggs in Subnautica or something like this. But I'm all for this. Learned about some things that I haven't heard about before.

I honestly find it funny how people think "UFOs" are spaceships, when really it just means whatever it is hasn't been identified (UFO meaning "unidentified flying object"). If you see a hot air balloon but can't tell its a hot air balloon, then its a UFO lol.
Yep exactly - I think that’s why many people have started calling it “UAP - Unidentified Areal Phenomenon” :)
I bet when people start talking about aliens and ufos you correct them saying “well actually a ufo is an unidentified flying object which could literally be anything. Flying saucers is the correct term.🤓”

The baltic sea anomaly actually looks a lot like the freighter the ebon hawk(the model in star wars lore was the inspiration of the yt series freighter like the milenium falcon wich is a yt-1300)

I was thinking it looked like some form of spaceship.
Me personally, i've always been more scared of the ocean than space creatures.
Because the space has been explored a lot, and in case of aliens they are most likely thousands of light years away, meanwhile the deep ocean has practically not been explored at all and... who knows what creatures could be living right below us.

Quick question for you mister bacon man what editing software do you use I wanna try doing CZcams but idk where to start
I would recommend trying DaVinci Resolve :) I personally use Cyberlink Powerdirector.
Truly makes you wonder what other kinds of things are lying below. It amazes me how to this day we still havent explored everything down there, since it really feels like we should have.
And idk if youve already done this or if you are able to even do this, but you should totally make a "subnautica in real life" video
(Aka go scuba diving yourself and make a vid about it lol)

I can tell you have an interest in the mysteries of the ocean. I prefer space personally but I’ve always found the vastness and mysterious nature of the ocean quite fascinating.
I also prefer space tbh but I figured this works better for the channel :)

What truly makes the discoverys in the older dates astonishing is the fact, that neither humans had portable light in moving machines, nor submersibles or flying objects. Which would mske it harder in that time to make something like that up, because the concept would be even more abstract at that time

Theory: those pictures from the uss treppang are really just icebergs that the light from got refracted the same way it happens with oasis’s and mirages. The same thing happened with a boat off the coast of the uk recently. BUT THATS JUST A THEORY, A LIGHT REFRACTION THEORY.

At minute 5 that encounter was with a group of disgusting and terrifying fish, whom feed themselves by taking scoops of meat out of animals, without the need to kill them.
Those disgusting creatures are not very large and the cuts are not usually lethal, but still, yuk.
