2022 Gull Lake Opening Day Fishing

This was the first time getting the boat out for this fishing season 2022. It is tradition for us to start our fishing season on gull lake Alberta . The fishing definitely came with challenges and we tried all sorts of different tactics. On top of that on our way home my radiator blew up. Luckily Camp Clark Ford in red deer was able to get us a radiator and get the truck fixed relatively quickly.

Call Lake is a great place to go just for some easy fishing to put numbers in the boat. I love it up there, but I seem to always manage to hit some sort of rock shelf or reef. That’s not on the fishing charts. Lol.

Take your time. The lake charts are wrong. The bad gravel bar is 100 ish yards off breestets camp beach. Doesn't show on charts. Says 15’ deep
