I bought one of those $20 lasers & they are chit, after about 2 months ( if that long ) it wasn't holding zero so I ended up pitching the laser. I was doing the same thing on setting up my zero & also if I needed to shoot something at night. I bought a used 3X14 ATN & so far I am happy with it, I get board at night & decide to do some plinking & with a red light I am able to shoot out to around 50-60 yards sitting in my room with the door open. Now I hope you ad a Mad Dog stock to that fine gun, I am sure Doug will set you up.
Actually I have the .457 and the .50 cal. SS models. The .457 ammo cost 400% less than .50 cal. and the .457 has 250% longer reach. At some point you can go TOO-BIG when it comes to air rifles.
Love the way you make us think on every video. As for instance, pearl...my life seems at pearl with all these cool toys and the fact that they are not cheap. Seriously ,bob don’t ever follow a script....with a raddle like yours who needs guidelines..... well not you obviously... ain’t nobody gonna tell yah what to think 💭
Mr Hollowpoint, now that you have data on the new .50 cal, which caliber has better ballistics? .457 or .50? Flatter trajectory? Pros and cons of either?
As you told, don't dry fire it. Why not? I know this is for a springer but i did not know for a PCP. Or this is applying for big bore PCP mostly? Last, can you decock the gun somehow?
@@Mrhollowpoint1 Please post next video for slug testing and dimension of the slugs and power wheel setting used for specific slugs. Thanks. Love your work.
I have a question if there's still air in the tank can i just leave it with the air still inside the tank or do i need to take out the air from the air rifle tank
Per the Air Force Texan 50 Cal instruction manual..... "This tank is designed to be filled at all times. You can leave it fully pressureized indefinitely, or you can keep a lower "caretaker" charge of around 2,000 psi in the tank, if you desire."
This man knows his stuff I order all my hollow point lead from him for my 357

If the pressure ever gets under 2000 PSI you could "DUMP" the whole tank.

Very nice
Would they ever make it in LSS or SS version ? And .50 cal slugs test preference / recommendation coming soon? Any link for that rubber butt pad?
I can't speak for the company but in the past they did the long barrel first and later released the short version and then the shrouded version.
My first video has assorted 50 cal weights.

@@Mrhollowpoint1 cool thanks, that'll do make me wait till shrouded version available.
Hi Mr hollowpoint. I looked for that butted on Amazon could tell which one was correct for the Texan. Need your help
Is this a second production, gun or the same one you have been testing?
This is the first run from the factory, my first testing was with my 457 frame and barrel, bottle and slide.
could you post a link for the attachments that you have for this gun please. I just purchased the same rifle.
I sell the extended picatinny rail and the rubber butt pad is from Amazon, search for tactical but pad $8
Why are Texans out of stock i can't find anyone with the LSS .50 cal anywhere
Can you post a link to that LDC you have on that gorgeous. 50 ?
Just look up on E Bay Green lasers, don't get a red one as they won't show up in the day as well as the green ones.
Newbee question. Can sabots and plastic case shot shells be used with this Texan???
Not really, you loose accuracy, and I have light to heavy in selection.
