All guest rooms are located on the 17th floor or higher. The sea-side guestrooms where I stayed offer views that change over time, including night views of the Tokyo Bay area and the sunrise over Tokyo Bay. You can also see automobiles running on the Metropolitan Expressway, the Tokyo Monorail, boats navigating the Keihin Canal, airplanes taking off from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport), and the Shinkansen bullet train passing by the Oi rail yard. For breakfast, guests can enjoy a varied Japanese and Western buffet at the restaurant on the 16th floor.
The hotel is located near the Tokyo City Keiba (TCK, Oi Racetrack), which is organized and operated by a special local government of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Keiba means horse racing in English. Known as "twinkle races," night horse races are held from late March through November, and the glittering illumination at night has become a popular destination for many people, not just horse racing fans. I went to “Diamond Turn,” a restaurant at Tokyo City Keiba where tables are reserved for watching horse races, which I had always wanted to visit but had never done. It is a buffet restaurant where you can enjoy your meal while watching the illumination, events, and races. Although I did not buy a betting ticket, Tokyo City Keiba is like a fantastic amusement park, and I had a dreamy evening.
Access from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport) to Shinagawa Seaside Station is about 40 minutes by train. The airport shuttle bus takes about the same time as the train. By cab, it takes about 20 minutes. The Tokyo Monorail does not have a Shinagawa Seaside Station, so you must transfer to the Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit Rinkai Line at Tennozu Isle Station. It takes longer for the distance.
Accommodation Fees for this hotel are reasonable, and the view from the rooms is spectacular. I may want to stay there again....
