- In this video, we find a Hot Wheels Autorama display from the redline era! I couldn't believe it was still there on day two of the estate sale. Check out the video to see what we found and how much some of them sold for!
We find so much at yard sales and estate sales to flip online to make extra income on a part-time basis. Every weekend, my wife and I venture out in our hometown and surrounding areas to see what we can find to list on Ebay or send in to Amazon FBA. We regularly find items that we buy low and sell high to make extra money on Ebay and Amazon FBA!

Well, we are From the Ash's, a husband and wife team that goes to thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales and retail stores to find things that we can resell online for a profit! We sell mostly on Ebay and through Amazon FBA. I'm part time right now so I only have a few hours each day after work to clean, test, photograph and list all the items we find throughout the week. My wife helps with all of those tasks as well as edits the videos and keeps the household running! When you are serious about reselling online, it takes a lot of dedication and hard work but we love it! We even get the kids involved too so it's becoming a family business!

You are correct. It is pink. The pink on that python is called Creamy Pink. This one is the US made version. They made the python in three variations of pink. Creamy pink, hot pink …and a more reddish pink color called rose. Sometimes people will confuse Creamy Pink with Rose…and try to argue their color blindness. Rose will be more of an orangish/red shade with hints of pink just like an actual rose petal. You know colors so you’ll know what I’m saying. That car you bought is a earlier run car with that full black roof that there’s still some remnants of on the rear pillars. Later run pythons didn’t have the full black extending to the trunk. It was part of a cost cutting measure. It would be a super tough car if it was HK in that full black roof. Decent find though. One of the lesser common US variations.

As a collector,I’d say the Python is ROSE... I hope most other collectors would agree. Also, “ let the buyer beware “ he saw the pictures, and any eBay buyer should ask questions BEFORE the sale...It’s still a great car...and a great video...👍

Pink purple whatever our opinion the person obviously saw the photos before purchasing so they wait till after receiving the item to complain it’s not pink. You shouldn’t have to get a natural feedback for that. Nice finds.
That’s exactly what I said when I saw the feedback! It was clearly pictured so I was a little confused.
Regardless…it’s creamy pink. Whoever bought it didn’t know their spectraflame colors and expected hot pink…or just had a bug up their arse. Why I hate dealing on eBay anymore. Actually a pretty decent US Python with a full early run roof. Creamy pink is a tougher color.
The official Hot Wheels name for that color is “lavender.” But red line collectors call it creamy pink.

It’s rare because only stores with a big enough order got the display cases. How many store chains in 1968 could you find them in? Might be worth looking up.
I picked up that same red custom corvette at a thrift store for a quarter and I couldn't believe my eyes. I just started collecting hot wheels and I never thought I'd find a redline, let alone for that cheap!

cool thing about redlines thers tons of colors they were known to use the paint until it was gone
so sometimes you see a blue car to a very light ice blue because the color was fading or thining out
Exactly. That makes it hard to differentiate between colors sometimes too!
So that's why some of these folks were waving their phones over items. I really should had put no early birds on my sale, my mistake, someone walked away with my college degree. :(

Need to adjust those profit estimations a bit. You forgot to factor in e(vil)Bay cut and now you have to pay income tax on all eBay transactions. so take at least another 20% off your profits.
After reading the comments,it could ALSO be “creamy pink” as someone else pointed out. To be sure,I’d have to see it in hand,cause pictures don’t show true hues of color. It’s most definitely creamy pink or rose. Definitely not magenta or hot pink. Still, great car for what sounds like a great price...!!!
That’s what makes selling redlines online so hard - sometimes the colors don’t translate well on the monitor so it makes it hard to know what you’re buying or selling in this case. I’ll definitely explain colors more thoroughly next time.

To be honest, I’ve never had both in my hand side by side so I was going by what I had in front of me. And the magenta color online definitely looks darker with a plum hue to it. 🤷♂️
