    Awesome vid..again. I remember when a 10mm blue foam mat seemed like a luxury, followed by an esky full of ice..as long as you ate all the perishables in the first couple of days. Great set up, and advice. There will always be something else you could use or think you need, but get out and do it rather than wait. Lifes too short

    It all depends on how much you use your vehicle for camping or off road. When you do 20,000 km a year on road but spend $15,000 for that really tough 100m section of track you might hit on your annual camping trip.

    • @NorthOz

    Probably the first mod I would have done to it , should have been a secondary fuel filter and catch can,I told my son to install these mods to his new D-max ,your drivetrain is the most important to protect,it does not affect your warranty.

    • @NorthOz
      @NorthOz  Před rokem +1

      Thank you sir. That’s great advice. With the low kms on my vehicle, now is probably a good time to do it. Thank you for the advice 👍

    • @richardwalsh5570
      @richardwalsh5570 Před rokem

      Agree with the fuel filter, I fitted a direction plus pre filter. Toyota service department happy with that. The jury is out on Catch Cans and there could be issues if fitted with a warranty claim. If you change oil and don't do short runs catch cans are not necessary.

    • @NorthOz

      Thanks for the comment mate 👍 Turning circle on this is atrocious. And with a bigger wheel setup it’s only going to get worse in the tight spot department. I’m getting used to it though but the wider track around town is more of a hindrance than a help. It does look cool though haha

Good Utes but wish Toyota should have done different tune on our wider Rogue as they like 200kgs heavier and my one never seen under 12/100 even on highway lol and around 12-14/100 local

    Hey, what rooftop tents are able to be installed on the roof or tray? Love the vids

    • @NorthOz
      @NorthOz  Před rokem +1

      Good question. I’m not entirely sure. The roof would depend on the rack system you are running. If it’s a solid system on the roof, most roofs are limited to 150kg. I would use anything other than a fold out rooftop tent as the tray and the roof is not big enough for a large clamshell in my opinion. I hope this helps 🤙

    Hey mate, do you think 265 65 r18 on stock wheel will fit well without lift? Any possible scrubbing with mud flaps? Cuz Factory rim actually look good for me. I find some people with this size tire got slightly scrub at full lock with sr5, but rogue come with higher and wider suspension.

    • @NorthOz
      @NorthOz  Před rokem +1

      Hi mate. Great question. I couldn’t tell you to be honest. I have some information regarding tyres you can run on a 17 inch wheels but not on the stock rim. Sorry for not being helpful. I don’t think you will be able run much bigger than stock on the factory rim but you could ask a tire shop if they are willing to give it a go 👍

    Does having that front runner set up on the tray impact or ruin the electric roller covers warranty ?

    • @NorthOz
      @NorthOz  Před rokem +1

      Hi mate. I can comment on the warranty but the setup does not interfere with the running of the electric cover. You should be safe with warranty unless someone installs the racks wrong or due to incorrect use causes a problem with the cover. That’s my thoughts anyway 👍 Thanks for commenting and subscribing

    Hey mate, in terms of space would you consider roofracks and/or rooftop tent?

    • @NorthOz
      @NorthOz  Před rokem +1

      Hi mate. Good question. I won’t be doing roofracks to keep the clearance down for day to day to use (it’s my daily too) but I may consider a roof top tent in the future. Probably not on this vehicle as I want to keep the flexibility of the tray but I may do it on an upcoming build. I really like sleeping in my swag which is good for flexibility too as I can chuck it up on the load bars when I’m camping and take it off when I’m not. That’s a bit more difficult to do with a roof top tent
