  • Hello guys and welcome back to Empathy Manor. Please subscribe and enjoy the content. Today we tell you about a construction company called Broad Group. Broad Group is this cool company from China that's got a thing for making buildings and air conditioning equipment. They're known for doing stuff super fast and super eco-friendly. Like, they built a 30-story hotel in just 15 days! Recently they built a10-story residential structure in 28 hours and 45 minutes in Changsha, China. That's like, lightning speed in the construction world.
They use this method called "prefabrication." It's like building with giant Lego blocks. They make parts of the building in a factory, then just snap them together at the site. This cuts down on waste and is way better for the environment.
Broad Group is also into making air conditioners, but not just any kind. They create these chillers that use less electricity and are better for the planet. Plus, they're big on making buildings that are energy efficient and good for people's health.
The guy who started it all, Zhang Yue, he's pretty interesting. He's all about sustainable development and thinks a lot about how to make cities better places to live. He even has this dream to build a super tall, super green skyscraper called Sky City. If it ever gets built, it could be one of the tallest buildings out there.
So, yeah, Broad Group is this innovative company that's trying to change the game in building and air conditioning, making it faster, greener, and just plain smarter.
We at Empathy Manor can draw some parallels between Broad Group from China and an African construction company that's doing innovative stuff. There's this company in Africa called "Moladi," based in South Africa, which has a pretty similar vibe to Broad Group in terms of shaking up the traditional construction industry.
Moladi uses a unique approach to building houses quickly and affordably. They've got this system where they use plastic formwork molds to lay out the structure of a building. It's kind of like Broad Group's prefabrication technique, but instead of assembling pre-made parts, Moladi pours concrete into these reusable molds. Once it sets, they remove the molds, and voilà, the walls are up. This method speeds up the construction process a lot, making it possible to build houses in just a few days.
Both companies are all about making construction faster, more cost-effective, and eco-friendlier. Broad Group does it with their rapid-build skyscrapers and energy-efficient air conditioning systems, while Moladi focuses on affordable housing with their innovative formwork.
The cool thing is, both are tackling big challenges in their regions. Broad Group is addressing urbanization and environmental issues in China, and Moladi is helping with the housing shortage in Africa. They're both pretty inspiring in how they're changing the game in construction. Thanks for watching our content .please like and subscribe
