- Introducing Fully Ramblomatic, the brand-new game review show from Yahtzee Croshaw.

From the team behind The Escapist, we're excited to introduce you to our new employee-owned and fully independent outlet, Second Wind. - Hry
Second Wind is completely independent and employee owned. Our goal is to be sustainable through fan-funding. Even $1 a month helps us get there! www.patreon.com/SecondWindGroup
Discord: discord.gg/432a5NUt
After Fully Ramblomatic, Yahtzee and Marty will be streaming Half-Life: Opposing Force over at @SecondWindLivestreams
as your previously created show might slowly crash and burn, will we see most of the reviews revived in the new banner if it were to be taken down by the owner?
A gaming worker cooperative, I like it.

Legally distinct is the best kind of distinct.
Glad the imp returns in a different form as well.
looking more and more like Pratchett over the years
Hearing Yahtzee swear uncensored is like ambrosia to the eardrums.
Don't worry. I'm sure CZcams will find some way to fuck it up for us. The cunts.
Yes, but I suspect it might only be a temporary thing. They may not be corporate-owned anymore, but they're still on CZcams, and that ad money's gonna matter more than ever right now. What they were doing before-- having a public censored version and a members-only uncensored version-- made sense. (And the way they were censoring it was actually kind of funny, so I'd be fine with it.)
Depends on how many people donate@@ichijofestival2576
Agree 100%. However, I still think he should keep the censoring thing in his toolbox, just in case he either needs it for some reason or finds a time where it would be funnier to censor it (such as in the original message about the censoring he was doing where he change “stick CZcams’s demonetization up their arse” to “sticking it up their [nostril]”).
@@ichijofestival2576 I believe their business plan is to be fully funded by patreon rather than reliant on youtube algorithms and ad revenue, another good reason to support them there imho
Amazing that you turned around and produced this new "Not ZP" show so quickly without missing a beat.
To be fair it's basically the same show with different music, red swapped in for yellow, and a new name. I hope they made enough changes to keep from getting sued.
@@DrachenJager1 It takes a lot of creativity to take what are essentially the same assets and remix them into something distinct. I love the imps being turned into dogs.
Just goes to show how little the company they used to work for actually did
I can't be ZP! ZP doesn't wear a mustache!
Well he was doing it before The Escapist, he'll be doing it long after.
I remember people saying Yhatzee had outgrown The Escapist almost a decade ago,
I do appreciate that due to a technicality, like Doctor Who, Fully Ramblomatic is now a longer running series than Zero Punctuation
what's the technicality?
@@willdyer9688 maybe the technicality is FR both is and isn't ZP, meaning FR technically has four more episodes
@@willdyer9688 Fully Ramblomatic was on a sort of hiatus for the 16 years that Zero Punctuation was running. So having it return technically means it's been around longer than Zero Punctuation has. That is unless they try to replace Yahtzee for ZP, but that would be ridiculous.
Tripfarmer has the right of it. The original name, before he joined the escapist was Fully Ramblomatic
@@themystic8634 I love the Doctor Who comparison because I've recently caught up on it because of the 60th anniversary specials. Except for the 90s movie, there basically wasn't any Doctor Who on air from like the late 80s until 2005.
Wow, can't believe Yahtzee made a third episode of Fully Ramblomatic after 15 years. Love the new style!
so after 15 years he did another episode, maybe my hopes for another video on duke nukem aren´t dead yet
I'm still hoping he reviews 'The Darkness' one day. The demo video was fun, but I feel Fully Ramblomatic has some unfinished business there.
So we're in Season 2 then 😂
Ah shit, I just commented this exact joke. Kudos friend
What a wholly unique and distinctive series with absolutely no similarities to anything prior, could see this show going on for 16 years.
To quote the man himself I can't be zero punctuation Zero punctuation doesn't have amustache
Glad I’ve stumbled on this completely unique series
It resembles but is legally-distinct from Zero Punctuation. The crowdfunded spiritual-sucessor the lead creative - Mr Croshaw - made after escaping from his corporate masters' sinking ship.
For the past few years, every time a new ZP dropped, I would take a moment to wonder why Yahtzee chose to remain chained to Escapist. And now I don't have to - I can just lean back and enjoy.
It's like Riley Murdock said, "They can use all the punctuation they want. You deserve it."
What happened? Yatz leaving escapist?
A company bought The Escapist, and fired the editor-in-chief. So Yahtzee and his friends quit too, and they all founded this company.
The different background colours for the different sections is a nice addition for this unique new show. It makes it easy to keep track of what's being reviewed so you know it's not just a long ass ramble.
I found it rather distracting, personally.
Red flag in the background, industrial gear theme, workers owning their own workplace - is that a Communism™® channel?

"We expect you to meet certain targets" is probably my favorite gag in the video. It's a well deserved dig.
Combined with "A sense of reality as reliable and permanent as corporate techjournalism"!
What's the timestamp?
Let's be real everyone already knows this is all, as Yahtzee would put it " holding a finger under your nose and saying, I can't be zero punctuation zero punctuation doesn't have a mustache"

After years and damn near 2 decades of ZP, with all the change that had to happen, it’s still a classic Yahtzee episode and I couldn’t be more grateful.
It's also the first time ever that the intro/outro music has been properly balanced with the rest of the audio. I'll take it.
Been watching yahtzee since the mid 2000s and always excited to see what he's up to. Thanks for keeping the content coming!
Remember his appearance in Doraleous? The Meh Kingdom. 😂
That dig at the escapist with calling Alan wake’s reality “as ephemeral as a career in tech journalism” was great. Glad to see you all go independent!
He was absolutely required to throw something like that in there. Total moral imperative.
Came down to the comments to say exactly that, except with Gamurs instead of The Escapist. Anyway, I'm glad to see it voted this high up. Another +1 for you.
Probably not a dig at the Escapist. Nick's gone on record saying he still really cares about the people over there
Probably my favorite gag in the video, especially the "We expect you to meet certain targets" part.

Its gonna take some time getting used to seeing Yahtzee depicted with clothes, but we all make sacrifices
And no imps.
I think the dog is taking their place.
For me it's the pupils. Like when Brad Neely went full animation and added pupils. I think there's more impact in a minimal design. I'll miss the little demon mascots, but they are trademarked, so I'll settle for this wonderful puppy
It's fun looking at this and trying to work out what is and isn't trademark. Obviosuly the name ZP, the music, apparently the yellow background, the imps, and Yahtzee's avatar. Although apparently his style of drawing people (circular head, pill shaped torso, disconnected feet and circular hands) isn't, which is interesting.@@empath69

It feels weird saying "Good to have you back, Yahtz." after a single week of absence. The turnaround between the Escapist nose dive and Second Wind rising from the ashes is astonishing. Bravo.
It shows how absolutely disconnected Escapist was from the Zero Punc production team
I believe ZP worked with an early access model for the Premium folks, so there should be another episode of ZP ready to go on the escapists channel. Why it's not live now is up for debate, but my money's on 2fa being enabled with a personal phone that left with the team.
My point being that if this is true, the guys never missed an episode and it's only the corporate side who left a gap.
We'll make our own review show with metal and gears.
I went into this game already under the impression that American Nightmare never happened and it was a trick of the dark place or one of Alan's attempts to write himself out of it that didn't work the way he hoped. Or it was one of Mr scratch's attempts at escaping.
Anyways, if you do enough mental gymnastics you can squeeze that game firmly into the continuity while simultaneously not retconning anything. Yes it's basically the Alan Wake equivalent of it was all a dream but what I remember from the control DLC Alan has tried to write himself out of the dark place for years and I'm sure that resulted in some of the awe's.
Some people even speculate that Alan is directly responsible for everything that happens across every game including control. Control would have you thinking that the events of the first game was just another awe but some people interpreted that DLC as saying that everything that happens in all of these games only happens because Alan wrote it that way meaning that the FBC wouldn't even exist in the first place if he didn't write it into existence.
I'm not sure if I fully buy into that Theory but I do know that regardless of which Theory you follow it's entirely possible to squeeze American Nightmare into continuity and write off the ending as a red herring that can be explained through objects of power and other ooga booga stuff from control
"It gives a rather effectively creepy feel of being trapped in a surreal, introspective world with a sense of reality as reliable and permanent as a career in corporate tech journalism."

@@spacecentergames Hey, I'm not giving up on the newer stuff I came to like on the Escapist that hasn't transferred like... um. Well some of the 3 minute reviews or something. I dunno, maybe they'll catch my eye.
Tee hee
(switches to Nelson Muntz voice)
HA-HA!
Canceled my sub & moved here.
I was a "just here for Yahtzee" viewer back on the Escapist until I got hooked on Adventure is Nigh, Design Delve, Cold Take and Stuff of Legends.
To see it all free from corporate bullshit and (apparently) still as high-quality as ever is truly exciting
The art style, the subtle digs at Escapist, and the format we are all familiar with. You guys did not miss a beat!
>subtle
The only way they could've been more blunt was if Yahtzee actually quoted why Nick Calandra was fired ("not achieving goals") instead of paraphrasing it.
@@barthvader95
Whaaaat? That bit around 3:30 could have been about *anyone.* 🤣
Awesome. Glad to have more of you guys! Caught the FPS podcast and happy to join along for the ride.
Congrats. Very happy you guys are on your own. I'm sure it must be a difficult transition but you all make great content and I'm excited to see where you go next from here.
Lmao darn Yahtzee you really did bring your entire view count to a new channel overnight
Huge respect
As long as CZcams doesn't flare up with registering all of those as bot subscribers. If there's respect here to be had, it's that even free-tier webhost got their act together, even though CZcams audience openly hates them for the exact service they paid zero dollars for.
It shows how great of a channel it was
That's how badly the escapist owners fucked up when they tried to fire the main guy who everyone respected. Now the admins have rights to the name "The Escapist" and all the people that made it what it was are under Second Wind.
He was always Atlas holding up the sky above the Escapist. Whatever they paid him wasn't enough and it was incredibly unwise to remotely get on his nerves, much less make him leave.
I gotta say the most surreal part of this is seeing yahtzee's little guy wearing actual clothes
The new hat is throwing me off.
You know what... This is an upgrade to the format and i am glad that i am not constantly staring at an eye piercing solid yellow background for a change. Not just an exodus, but also an improvement..
I hope you guys do well.
It's hard to believe I've been watching your content since I was still in school. I'm glad to see you are still interested in making videos. I will always feel a fondness for your work, thank you
It's fitting to see the return of "Fully Ramblomatic" with a familiar but fresh look. Also, it's nice that patron funding has enabled Yahtzee to swear up a storm again.
Finally another episode of Fully Ramblomatic! I've hoped and prayed for 16 years to see another one.
Patreoned. Happy to help this great channel. I remember your first video, and then I remember when you rode the SS sell out to go work for the escapists. I'm so glad you're doing this.
This is gonna make the "with no punctuation" videos a little trickier
Can't believe this outperformed that last few Zero Punctuation episodes. Truly inspiring
A lot of people where irregular watchers, the news make every one look what was happening.
@@SuperFunkmachine pretty much this yeah, I like Yathzee, but ZP just wasnt something I personallity liked, so I didnt watch any episodes of it in years
This is irrelevant tho, all that matters is longevity, if the numbers drop over the course of a few months or a year, that would suck. But considering that ZP was THE reason most people visited or even knew of that old channel, I think they'll do fine here too.
@@XekTOr89until zero punctuation comes back with a different voice
now that you mention it.. holy sh*t this did well! - i didnt even know the channel somehow
I can't believe we finally got another episode of Fully Ramblomatic after 16 years. What a time to be alive!
Not only that Yahtzee14 got a new mic, better animation and style.
Must have taken him 16 years to make this video. See you again 16 years for episode 4 :)
Wasn't it the name of his old blog?
I thought that new name sounded familiar!!!
*GRRM starts visible sweating*
@@Jhiaxus315yeah, maybe he decided to use Zero Punctuation for The Escapist and keeping Fully Ramblomatic for himself
Timing the audience address to start 5 seconds after the ZP EP should have wrapped up was nice.
An Uncensored Yahtzee is truly amazing to hear.
I don't know how you turned this out so quick with such a hardcore flip but I'm glad
We have an incredible group of people behind the scenes and we've been working around the clock to get this going.
Differences from ZP in the thumbnail:
Red instead of yellow background
Imp from The Darkness review replaced with little dog (Toffee?)
updated Yahtzee avatar with the glasses he wears now and a hat that he doesn't
Yep, this seems legallly distinct enough.
The toffee imp is an absolute blessing. 10/10 on the new series already
@@spikejrb7572except if Toffee fills the same role as Imp, we’ll be seeing a ton of kicked dogs in this new show.
Truthfully, I always followed zero punctuation only on the escapist.
That changes as of now!
You guys are what all amazing and you got my undivided attention🙂
Good luck guys!
I've always tended to surf around on CZcams a lot and just watch stuff randomly but for at least 12 years now every time there was an upload of Zero Punctuation I immediately watch it. I'm sure this is going to continue with Fully Ramblomatic. Congratulations on Second Wind and keep up the great work guys.
That giant wall of patreon supporters brings a happy tear to my eye. Once I get more work hours I hope to be able to join it. I salute you Yahtzee, Nick, everyone else at Second Wind, and everyone who supports them
When I heard Yahtzee sit down and thank everyone at first I believed I was a joke, then I was moved by his sincerity and how thankful he was like the rest of the team....and then of course he proceeded to say "I won't be this sentimental always"
And for that I say kudos to you Yahtzee, never stop being you and take everything sarcastically. We love you bud as much as the rest of the team
I tip my fedora to you, sir
You're right you are a joke 😂
And it appears he's smoking a baby's arm 😂
Oh, hello! There you are! Good thing I found you again!
Liked, subscribed and leaving a comment for the algorithm, mainly as a sign of support for what you guys did, but I also like the video. May the (second) wind always be at your back!
