Most Lupus physicians, specialists, and rheumatologists are focused on ordering tests, and prescribing medication. But there are several areas which are commonly overlooked and these mistakes can cause inflammation to increase over time, without resolution
1. Ignoring Bowel Movements- The inflammation in lupus starts with the gut. And this also applies to sjrogrens and mixed connective tissue disease, which are also ANA+ autoimmune conditions. Mucosa Associated Lymphatic Tissue (MALT), spleen, liver, Aero-Digestive tract- contains 80% of the body's immune system. American Gut Project- Top Tier Research Universities are able to predict autoimmune inflammation, exacerbation, and severity, based on the type of bacteria in the stool. Gut microbiome optimization therefore is very important. Frequent regular bowel movements are desirable to prevent inflammation. Otherwise you get overgrowth of bacteria, sometimes called SIBO, or IMO if the bacterial produce methane. These bacteria cause the intestinal permeability to increase, result in leaky gut. There are tests you can do for SIBO, IMO, methane production, and Zonulin metabolites for leaky gut. C difficile colitis, also called clostridium bacteria, is another type of opportunistic infection from bacterial overgrowth. You can also get overgrowth of funguses such as Candida, which results in histamine intolerance in lupus, sjrogrens, and mixed connective tissue disease.
2. Too much sugar, processed foods. There are several concurrent biochemical pathways of inflammation in ANA+autoimmune disease that get activated. Reactive oxygen species, oxidative damage. Fatty acid synthase (FAS), hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL), and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ), nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) dysregulation. If you avoid these foods, you can activate protective pathways, that are anti-inflammatory in nature. These can prevent lupus, sjrogrens, and mixed connective tissue disease. These include NADPH oxidase and xanthine oxidase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, and glutathione peroxidase (GPx)
3. Deficiency in Phytonutrients- Long term paleo, carnivore, Atkins, weight watchers diets can be deficient in plant base micronutrients. These micronutrients are capable of reversing inflammation seen in lupus, sjrogrens, and mixed connective tissue diesase
4. Ignoring stress and trauma- most people with ANA+ autoimmune disease have significant stress in their lives
5. Poor Sleep- can activate inflammatory factors which make ANA+ autoimmune diseases such as lupus, mixed connective tissue, and sjrogrens
6. Sedentary Lifestyle- exercise helps reverse inflammation in lupus, sjrogrens, and mixed connective tissue disorder

I have lupus, 2 kinds. I was excited to find your channel. To have an MD looking at managing disease without drugs or just managing the disease as a whole person is refreshing. I was an RN for most of my life and have been disappointed in the practice of medicine that seems to only be pushing drugs.
yeah it's sad isn't it?
Great video, thank you
I have sjorgrens and SLE Lupus and have found this video very helpful. Thank you.
Very useful info. Thank you so much.
Mahalo, glad I found this video. I’ll start getting more proactive.
This video is very helpful Thank you!
Thank you for all the valuable information that help to regain hope that i can survive if i start a good GI health. Due to my migration to Canada, i dropped my normal routine of proper sleep, food habit , bowel movement. Until now i was so depressed that nothing had found to cure my condition and thus i ended up on stress eating too. All this good information will definitely help me. Thank you.
I have all of this. How can I go see you for an appointment 😊
Thank you
Hello Dr Chanu Dasari. I m so glad to found your video ., seems some hope to get ride of this deadly disease lupus. I want to consult you and have a proper treatment. How do I go about it. I live in California city of chino .please help
Thank you for the the valuable content. But, what about the oxalate in the greens part of the phyto diet? Arent they bad/triggers to autoimunne diseases? Thank you
My question too ... maybe is about balance .. I am not sure what to eat anymore 😢
What about negative ANA auto immune disease? It’s important to teach these too! Dermatomyositis is one that you don’t have to have ANA. Myasthenia Gravis is another. I’m sure there are more and there is seronegative. I have seen several textbook having every symptom and not have ANA.
I’ve had SIBO for 10 years and no GI has helped me. I finished nursing school in May, so I was highly stressed. I recently had a positive ANA, but they said it’s too low to refer me to a specialist. I’d give anything to fix my SIBO. I’ve bought every book about the gut and autoimmune diseases, but I can’t heal this on my own. It’s frustrating.

I have been suffering from Lupus disease for some year without having a solution to it until i done a research on CZcams i come and cross Dr.Auchi on CZcams channel. That was were i find effective herbal medicine to cure my Lupus disease permanently without having side effect from the herbal product.. i recommend #drauchi herbal medicine for Lupus disease cure...😍❤
Probably anti-vinculin antibodies causing migrating motor complex (your most important anti-SIBO mechanism) dysfunction, causing recurrent SIBO, especially if your problems started a while after acute gastroenteritis (food poisoning) and you are only hydrogen gas (or hydrogen sulfide) positive on lactulose breath testing. You need rifaximin and a prokinetic such as prucalopride if this is the case.
My ana was 1:40 at diagnosis
Do you work with Canadians?
I don’t eat much sugar as I’m diabetic but I’ve had ibs since I had a gastric bypass surgery in 2013, but last year I was diagnosed with lupus and BPD so I can’t eat processed food, I feel stuck not knowing what I can eat and what I can’t
I have scleroderma also Raynaud. I only hear Mixed connective tissue lupus etc?
ANA positive disease. We see many clients with this condition. I just don't make a lot of content about it!
Well its terrible enough😅 Thank u for your respons. Its Just that scleroderma is one of the most missunderstood disease. Is there also a sort off hope?!❤❤❤❣️ Thank u for being. Greetz from the Netherlands
I have Sjogrene's and I see that with the time people around me develop the symptoms as well. I'm almost sure it's some herpes type virus like CMV, maybe a certain strain of it
I thought phytonutrients were only helpful in mitigating the health problems caused by eating mostly plants? A carnivore dieter therefore has no need for them.
