Replacing tractor couplers

  • It seems there's no shortage of maintenance at Milliron Family Farm. The couplers that the hydraulic hoses connect to had been leaking and the front end loader was not working the way that it should. Since we are in the middle of haying season we use them a lot so they needed to be replaced. We were a little worried about how complicated it would be or how long it would take since we'd be needing the tractor to pull the baler in just a few days but luckily it all went pretty smoothly.

I’m sure dad knows this, cause he knows all the tricks. But in case he doesn’t I learned this at work the other day. When installing o rings, put a dollop of grease on them and they will hold themselves in

I’ll keep working on getting him to do more. He isn’t a huge fan of talking and explaining what he’s doing but I think he does a great job. 😂
