Hey man good video. I was wondering myself why not the upgrade. I am actually waiting for the call to pick mine up, it just got off the boat yesterday and on the way to the dealer, so who knows maybe tonight or tomorrow... So at this point and cause am a fan :) I would suggest the camera work get close in for better detail, you are a star in the making so might as well get into the details now :) Could you please post on which spacers you used as well as where did you get the wind noise carbon units for the outside? Thanks! and yes it's the Blue :)
Thanks man, I appreciate it. I went with the 13mm and 15mm wheel spacers from Burger Motorsports, and the Verus wind deflector from Speed Industry. Congrats on your car!
Nice video, I had the jb4 on my '19 Golf R and it was pretty cool now thinking about it for my supra. Which guards did you order and from where? I need some as well as I also have spacers.
Hey man. I have you on Facebook but can not think of your name to save my life. My question is how much of an E-blend can we run with the stock fuel system? I know the manual says E30, but we know how that doesn't always translate when it comes to performance tuning.
I have been doing E50. Anything over about E45 and you will likely get a CEL for a lean condition on startup. But it runs strong with E50 and the right tune.
still waiting on a dyno run to see how your tunes have changed your power brother! Also, any chance you'd be willing to go in depth on how to actually tune it once the device is hooked up?
@@spiguyversgarage9452 sounds great! I'm excited. I just got my ecu tested for a bench unlock and it was unsuccessful so I'm looking at the jb4. I have the same blue a91 as you
Thanks for the input! A91(Black) owner here. Since our ECUs cannot be tuned, I’m thinking about a JB4/JB+ myself. Since you have used both, which do you recommend?
No problem Jesus. Go JB4 all the way. And plus catted down pipe would be the way to go so you don't get No C.E.L. not much verbal noise but its really good.
It's just a mix. You will need a tester to find out the exact percentage of the e85 you use, then download a calculator on your phone and it's pretty easy.
Mine pulls harder in map2 than map 3. Map 3 doesn’t have as much timing according to the logs. Gear changes one map two don’t lose power map 3 it seems like it’s bogging between shifts.
No, I am working with someone on an E50 tune with the JB4. Actually just did the blend in my car today. I am testing the E85 to get the right percentage, and doing the mix in the tank.
You can add the ethanol sensor like the Fuel-it I show in a later video to the JB4 with one wire. You do not need the sensor, you can do like I show in a different video and use a calculator to come up with the blend you want to use.
Any issues with Toyota calling you out for adding the JB4 and having elevated oil consumption issues? Wondering if they will be giving you a hard time about voiding your warranty by using the JB4 and thus them not taking care of your oil consumption issues. I just received my JB4 but am waiting to install after I make sure I’m not one of the ‘21 Supra’s with oil consumption issues.
It was not on when I took it to the dealership! And since there are so many having the issue, it would be nearly impossible for them to tie it to any aftermarket part.
@@spiguyversgarage9452 I get that you would remove prior to bringing it in but from my understanding the JB4 still will leave somewhat of a “fingerprint” on the cars ECU. I’m not trying to give Toyota any “out” from having to take care of any oil consumption issues. Figured they would if they check the ECU and notice it’s been played around with via a piggyback tune.
The JB4 doesn't write anything onto the ECU, so they shouldn't really see anything too unusual. I'm sure they could probably dig and determine it was on there, but probably requires a more deep, thorough dive.
@@spiguyversgarage9452 I have used a JB4 on my car (not Supra) for several years, and follow them closely. NO CAR has EVER been busted by a dealer or car maker for a having a JB4, because they are Invisible to the ecu. Also invisible to dealers if you remove before going in ! ;-) And in any case. DENY DENY DENY. But that won't happen.
Gday mate ! Beautiful video .. and very informative .. but you gotta give us some action in your videos 😁
Okay, will do
I have just received my JB4 in the mail yesterday and I'm putting it on and going to log to see how much power it's making
Sweet

I got the ones from ZL1addons. I have a video that will be posted on Thanksgiving!
@@spiguyversgarage9452 thanks I just wasn’t sure which year to get
thanks for the video. I also have a 2021 a91 edition in black. Thinking to purchase the jb4. Is the stage 1 map a huge difference vs stock?
So depending on the map you go with, you can make it super tame, or a pretty decent jump in power.

Without question the JB4 is the way to go. The JB+ will just tease you!

how does e30 mix work? Is it just a mix of 93 octance and some e85? Did you have to buy anything else
It's just a mix. You will need a tester to find out the exact percentage of the e85 you use, then download a calculator on your phone and it's pretty easy.
Wow 3.6 for such a small tune. Impressive
It really is impressive!

Interesting, I really haven't used map 2 at all. As soon as my DP goes in (once it arrives) I will be doing a full custom map 6.
@@spiguyversgarage9452 what dp did you go with not to get cel on car?

Just ordered the e85 test kit. Currently running map 2 (JB4) and a DP on my A91.
Have you had any CELs with the DP?
For the e30 do you need flex fuel kit
No, you just need to keep on top of what you're adding and reset with pure gas every few tanks in order to ensure you keep it in the right range.
Did you have to unplug the battery before install???
No, I just hooked it up. No issues at all.
Do you need a e85 sensor in order to run e85 and does the jb4 tell you the e blend?

Thanks for the reply. I wonder if you see gains if you blend e85 and don't have a tune? I just ordered bootmod3 today so I'm excited for that.

I just took my Supra to the dealership for a state inspection a couple of weeks ago and they didn’t say a word about the JB4.
im in ttown sir cant find anything but 91 should i stick to map1?
Sorry, just now seeing this, check out my responses on the more recent video!
Whats the EWG wiring for ???
So that you can control the electronic waste gate and play with duty bias to fine tune the tune.
My Supra 2021 is production 09/20. Can use the JB4?
Yeah man, there is nothing keeping anyone from running the JB4. The ECU tune can't be done on any with an ECU date after 6/1/20.
