It's insane to think that this is the same car you started building back when you still made forza videos, coolest miata on the site
Molly is... _eternal._
Facts ya remember Fred??
@@nabilkurtoglu558 yoo his mom's Focus he riced out on the channel😎😎😎
The forza the ford focus so much went in to where he is today!
I dunno have a look at Jimmy broadens time attack miata that's a beast
On a valved setup the ‘high flow loud’ side should take airflow priority and the ‘quiet’ side should take a 90 degree angle out of that pipe with a smaller piping diameter. It’ll greatly improve drone characteristics and it’ll make it much quieter without having to use even more additional mufflers. And if you place the valve closer to the tip of the high flow side, it’ll also act as a Helmholtz resonator when shut.
Love the content just hope this may help if you ever want to improve the db difference between modes.
Ya, i was honestly surprised he didn't (at the very least) get a Y-pipe for the back.
The fact that the Eclipse scars are still just sitting there in that intersection is _wiiild..._ I wonder how long it'll take for those to disappear, or if they'll just need to repave the road.
Its like a morbid reminder to double, triple nay, _centuple_ check literally everything if you're not entirely certain that everything is working as it should with like a double margin for error, changing conditions and faulty components. It was going to be a super cool project but bad luck, unfortunate part placement and the curse that seemed to be saturating the vehicle killing engine after engine all conspired to ruin the day. The only good thing that Eclipse seems to have done for Caleb is taking away basically all his mechanical misfortune for at least the next decade. But yeah, heck, seeing the burn scarred asphalt is still visible is definitely wild as all get-out.
It's Georgia. It will be there for the next twenty years until GDOT repaves it.
Near Ottawa Ontario on a back country road someone hit a deer I'm guessing and there was a giant patch of red like 30 square feet stained into the already faded grey pavement. It was there for atleast 4-5 years before the road was paved lol
Oh it'll be there until it gets repaved. My parent's van burned down right in front of our house in 2010 and the scars are still there. Quite faded, but definitely still there.
Totaled a car when I was in high school and the marks the rims left on the pavement are still there after 10 years 😁🤙🏼
If you want to reduce drone, I highly recommend swapping out the bottle resonator for a Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator. They reduce drone so much it's insane, but they don't decrease volume too drastically.
Also, what a fantastic video this was. This has to be the best production quality yet!
I can confirm, when I had a mazda 3 with a loud exhaust I installed the vibrant resonator and it almost eliminated the drone and didn't change the exhaust tone too much
@@jakehiggins5118did it help with any rasp?
Here's my only suggest for welding stainless, be sure to back purge the piping to prevent "sugaring". It can cause the backside of the weld to be full of impurities and can increase the chance of weld failure, especially on an exhaust where it's getting a TON of vibrations.
yep that was going to be my 2 cents as well, I used to love TIG welding stainless steel, I hated Cunifer the most and aluminium
My guy you went off with the edit; the musicality and flow is great. Keep up the awesome work.
**Are great.
Everything IS great lol
@drew9804 my mind autocorrected "musicality" to "masculinity." Lmao.
I felt the same way!
Gingium, TheCarPassionChannel, AND ChrisFix all in one day? This really is Christmas in early August
I miss my cutout system so much 😭 such a rad setup for the street
My cutout already broke 😭 what happened to yours?
If you want to make the quiet mode really quiet so the loud mode is full power, using a triple chambered reactive muffler from MagnaFlow might be an idea, and size it to like a half inch smaller diameter than the exhaust, so 2.5 inches (the XL 3 Chamber is like 130 bucks so I don't know if that's cheap or not), that should make Molly real silent with the valve closed, and if you could set that valve to also open when boost pressure gets high enough then you could let Molly breathe if you hit the gas, and still have the manual open as an override so it just stays open regardless of the boost pressure. Molly though, she's sounding _hella fine_ now
I also just learned now about diffuser disc mufflers, you add discs to the stack to let air pass more freely and more loudly. They're those strange exhausts where the gas comes out the circular outside instead of straight on, some generators or other small engines have them if they don't just use one of those boxes plonked on the side, I saw a guy put a 4 inch one on his straight-pipe Jeep and with 12 discs it was 9db quieter at idle, and 24 discs was only 5db quieter. Mufflers are fascinating things, there's like over a dozen different designs, but the chambered muffler aka the reactive muffler seems to be the best at being quiet, more chambers more quiet.
Once you get that rhythm going with the tig pulse and your setting dialed in, it all just comes together.
3:21 The 7th gen accord coupes NEED more attention from Gingium plz
That would be cool to see, but i think the Fit is taking the cake for Caleb. All that power and fwd isn’t great sometimes, especially on a track
It sounds awesome and it looks great, not to mention it looks super sturdy. Could always apply some heat to the exhaust tips to give them the blue heat colouration, would match with the paint :D
Rip Eclipse. Also, if you want a positively stealth mode muffler for the quiet side, I'd suggest a Dynomax P/N 17676. It's only 2.5" but it'll tuck into and fill all the space where the one tip is, and then you could run a setup that kinda looks like a sideways pi symbol, with the end splitting off into a dual "center" exit tip that snakes around your jack point. Or a double blast pipe out one side, or just back into a single exit.
If not, and you wanna keep it 3-inch, look into a 17743(smaller body) or 17792(larger body). ALL of these are turbo-style (looping pathway) mufflers, witth the first being 1 loop (inlet and exit on the same side) and the latter two being two loops with an offset/offset design on opposite sides.
the welding editing was ON POINT. great video
Always love the videos, but the editing on this one was especially entertaining. Also, would love a spotify of the background music.
OMG Gingium, the editing on this one is incredible. That tossing the pipe and it seamlessly went from 1-2 then to 3 pieces was super cool and impressive. 👌🏻
Holy shit, love the vibe, the vid, the workshop, the welding and the car this video is soooooo niceeeeee😮 you made me wanna turbo charge my "98" NB😂
Only thing it would need now is a proper diffuser
Some great arc shots in this 👌
Perfection! She sounds sweet. I want to see it on the track with the new turbo!
I enjoyed watching your video and the cuts you were making for the piping looks nice and clean!
Hope you're having fun at the Gap! Thanks for the content!
Bro exhaust looked great!! You can get some stainless wire for your mig welder. Some machines want to to change polarity. For tacking pieces in in position it's a lot easier. Then drop it purge and Tig. .love all your vids brother, can't wait to run into at an event someday. Keep it coming!!
Mans made the NA into an NC with the dual exit. But with jokes aside, this build is awesome 👌
Low key loving molley content.
I love how you always start off relatively clean and up up with dirt all over 😂 very relatable
Sounds sick!, can't wait to hear it at full throttle!
I'm all in on this Miata. This thing is a friggen gem!
Have you ever considered getting a Fastback hardtop? I’ve always thought that they look amazing on NA Miatas and It would fit the more sporty/track esthetic.
OH MAN I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT VIDEO!!!!!
My favorite Miata.
loved this video, you make working on cars look fun LOL
Amazing work as Always ❤
Sounds amazing and the welds look great too
Sounds awesome man, nice deep growl
I enjoyed this. And them welds we’re clean
Loved the edit cuts
I enjoyed your effects in this one :)
19:15 The way you had it is the best way, having a straight shot to the valve when open. I've seen some that actually have two valves, so it seals the one off so you don't get any "leakage" It would be way more noticeable if it was up front rather than out back. But its a cool way to have a dual-purpose exhaust...
These engines are awesome... what a treat
I think you've been watching too much This Old Tony, hahaha. Great work!
Awesome work ! 🙂
hey man! long time fan of the channel and i love watching the content and watch u grow as a fabricator! just wanted to say that ive been having a hard time getting invested into your builds recently. i understand that things arent always in your control but when u switch between cars every video and dont finish builds it’s hard for me to get heavily invested like i used to be for the rallymiata or like og drift truck build. regardless i will continue to watch and support ur videos 👍🏻
You're a magician with that welder!
Your tig welds are looking awesome! One little tip- keep the filler rod in the post gas with the weld bead. If the filler oxidizes, you have to snip it clean or you contaminate the weld. It’s good practice for all steels but really important for stainless.
dude is using a milwaukee marker, this is a man of culture and knowledge. you got my respect :p
Can’t wait for full rips with tune!!
your mx-5 just looks sooooo clean its so perfect
Sounds amazing
Nice work there dude. 2 little tips.whilst building the exhausts. Instead of welding the hangers straight to the pipe, cut a little square out of an offcut of pipe and weld this on first to act as a spreader plate. If the exhaust gets a bad knock or a lot of vibrations the small weld holding the hanger on can just tear the exhaust at the weld. 2nd tip try not pulling your filler rod out of the shielding gas before your post flow is finished . Really loving the transformation of this car and showing your progression in skills 👍
Ging -ART -ium Exhaust Systems !!! NICE
I saw you and Dave in your Volvo on his channel, so I subscribed! 🤙
Love the edit on this vid
My man doesn't skip leg day, good for you 👏🏻
You make working on cars look fun. 👍
Man, I hope Gingium keeps that 240. That there’s some potential for a neat project in the future.
Good edit!
Clean cars. Was hoping to be there in person. Maybe next year. ❤
I thought you said editing quality would decrease as amount of videos has increased. Every single one has been better than the last, still my favorite youtuber. Loving the extra content btw.
Good stuff man
it’s so wild dude that last road is so close to me. the 11s on the road by the racetrac are me bro 😂😂😂 i remember hearing you run down that road 😂😂😂
Drift truck when...btw love the fabrication work u do👍
Nice song choice on that first store trip.
It makes me so happy to see you took my advice of using metric to heart. I have one more piece of advice I can guarantee you will love, get a 5" horizontal bandsaw from Wen. You'll literally save hours of your life on cleaning up exhaust pipes.
You try ptfe tape instead of blue painter tape cause you can weld over it and it doesn't leave glue behindc
Not that loud. Just amazing none the less!
It sounds great👍👍
Good work
Thought you stopped posting… turns out CZcams just hasn’t recommended your videos to me.. have 9 videos to watch now to catch up 🤦🏻♂️
Like this building videous that Gingium makes
Maybe get some actual exhaust tips, I think it looks kinda unfinished from behind
I think they'd look good if he just polishes 'em up
Polishing just the tip?
@@natepotter1709 💦🍆
Much love from Nigeria ❤
Think it might look kinda cool if you did a slash cut on the tips so they flow with contour of the rear bumper a little more IMO. Just my opinion though, great vid as always.
Dude I did the same setup on my turbo 1.8L miata build. Had a little hard time given mine was on ramps but it sounds amazing.
Your pops and bangs are miata owners dream
Thou hath mad skillz
Dont know if anybody else wants this, but can you try with one video where u dont add any music while working on the car? just so we get the asmr from wrenching, welding etc?
3:08 that water bottle 😂
Love how clean your keeping this build do you ever plan on taking any of your cars to caffeine and octane in the future
Molly the Miata is an absolute masterpiece.
W editing
Sounds awesome to me bro n Tbh I kinda dig the muffler setup maybe cus I daily a hood dump but either way sounds great n looks really good to bro clean install n no 2 foot stickout dumb crap lol
man i miss the eclipse. i hope someday you try again with a mitsubishi
Someone learned a new video cutting skill 😄
fucking awsom video! actualy amazing welds man i love to see how far youve come
This car just keeps getting more perfect.
Everyday I miss the FC.
Only reason I subbed and I mean only reason.
Miata Dad and Gingium in the same day?! Today's a good day.
You are consistently the best car youtuber I know of. Excellent content quality, videography, editing, and music! I espically loved the goofy cuts when you were cutting the tubing, and the close-up welding shots. Great job man, keep it up!
“If at first you fail, cut and tac again” needs to be a new Gingium T-shirt with like Sun Tzu quoting it😂
Please make an dry-ice cleaning video for Molly! Would love to see it
something very similar I've been looking to do to my stagea, full system. Cat, res, to a rear muffler but also have a cutout just after the cat that goes into a boom tube muffler out the side
imagen this thing with a custom rear diffuser. It will look amazing!🤩
Very impressive. I had to cut and TIG weld exhaust tubing in Fab class and it was an epic fail. My worst grade in the class.
Love it
Seems like the camera man(sorry I forgot your name) had a fun time editing the metal cutting
I've been watching you for a few months and I can't stop thinking that you look like Christian von koenigseggs long lost son
damn that is a mean sounding miata
Bro I laughed my ass off when u pulled up at the light with the camera at the intersection I was like that looks like the spot the car burned down at and u turned the camera around and said that where the car burned down lol I’m sorry buddy lol
A double center exhaust would look nice , left pipe open, right pipe muffler
