No matter how many times I watch it, this song always makes me cry. My dad lost his life to alcoholism in '97, an addiction he picked up in war, and it reminds me so much of him.

Krauss rhymes with blouse. And country artists never want to make you too sad after these kinds of videos, so they try to make something 'semi' positive in the end, like the mom showing up in the absolute last scene of Tim McGraws, 'Don't take the girl'. Brad has some funny ones too like 'I'm still a guy' & Ticks', for starters.

The gentlemen who is playing the soldier in this little short movie his name is Ricky schroder He played on silver spoons he was a child after and he also directed this short And a little girl that you see is actually his daughter Cause she is a mini of her daddy. I saw you did Alabamaâs Dixieland Delight. You GOTTA check out Bradâs Old Alabama. More than that, you gotta deep dive. Heâs a ridiculous songwriter and a highly underrated guitar player.
Allison has a beautiful voice. Sheâs been in the bluegrass/country scene since her teens. I always said if you could hear the sirens from Greek mythology, they would sound like her. It was no surprise she supplied one of the three voices of the siren scene from O Brother Where Art Thou.
Side note on that. Her long time guitarist, co-writer, harmony vocalist, Dan Tyminski, provided the vocals for George Clooney on Man of Constant Sorrow. And speaking of Brad, Dan and Allisonâs dobro player Jerry Douglas (LEGEND!) were on Bradâs song Son of the Mountain. Which, was all filmed in the West Virginia county I grew up in.

Body powder was how our grannies would absorb sweat in sticky, humid climates like the south. Usually scented. Some would use it instead of bathes/showers as they sweat out booze. Just pile it on.

I loved the look on your face at "Dr. said the baby's fine...." It was years before I could hear this song without crying! You are clearly learning that story telling is what country singers do. Tim does a lot of tear jerkers, but for a different side of him, listen to "I Like It, I Love It" or "Just To See You Smile".
