What an underrated AIC song as well. That bass line and tone is pure filth!
People talk a lot of shit about The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here in general, but songs like this and Phantom Limb put it right up there with Dirt for me.
Truth. I honestly had no idea they kept going after Layne passed until I heard this from Rocksmith and was blown away.
@@xxtz2007xx I own The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, but never really connected with it like I did their other albums. I remember it as a stylistic departure from the sound and style that I always loved about AiC. That said, having listened to this and gone back and listened to the original I feel like I was missing out. This song is rather awesome.

DuVall doesn't deserve the hate that he gets from the classic fans who don't seem to understand that Cantrell was already doing most of the writing and heavy lifting even back then.

“The one you know” “check my brain” and this song are easily on par with any of the old school stuff.
@@Vivi_9 many people sadly don't even give him a chance because he's not Layne... which, besides being rude to William, also diminishes the others' role in the band and makes it sound as if Layne was the only one who's important and the others were just there to fill in.
And that's not even the worst of it- some people claim that Layne wouldn't have wanted the band to continue without him, which is ridiculous considering that everybody who knew Layne supports the band, embraces William and says he would have wanted that (if I recall correctly, Layne's dad was actually the one who pushed the band to reunite). Do these people honestly think they know Layne better than his friends and family just because they like his music?
Oh, and don't even get me started on the racist remarks I've seen about him...

i know both band and this pretty much sounded like regular alice in chain except for one part ahah but sounded awesome anyway.

Tesseract is an incredible band. Can't wait for the new album. Saw them live at Download festival a few years back, and they were mind-blowingly good. Not sure this sounded like anything other than Alice in Chains though, without Tesseract's weird time signatures.

Love the cover. I don't really know TesseracT, but this would have not been out of place if it had've appeared on "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" and any other AiC album, frankly. Sounded a lot like "Stone" in the style of "Alice in Chains" to me. Still love the work!
I also feel the need to thank you for bring this song to my attention. I didn't really connect with The Devil Put Dinosaurs here and so haven't really listened to it much since I bought it years ago. Now I'm wondering why this song is not part of my usual rotation.
