Easier to Run is underrated. A pity that the band came to dislike it collectively, and that it wasn't played live all that often.

@@prometheustv6558 Mike mentioned in a fan podcast interview in 2015 that he came to dislike the song as a collective whole, and he reiterated that in a tweet recently, though in a slight change, he also mentioned that he's unsure of how the rest feels.
But other than him, Chester also mentioned that Phoenix didn't like the song in an interview with the LPU in 2011. When questioned if the band would play Easier to Run live again, he said, "I don’t think so. I don’t think Dave likes that song. So, it’s his fault. That’s why we don’t play it, ‘cause Dave doesn’t like it."
@@DavidHutchinson0713 Also, if I am not mistaken, the lyrics of this song are very deep and that's why they play it live because it is not easy.

They didn’t underrate it, they didn’t play it because many of the bands members didn’t like it because they thought it was melodramatic.

Easier to Run very emotional. Underestimated by Chester is probably a misnomer. The song is too true and harsh. it turned out to be true in 2017. the most favorite song of the LP.
