I'm an A level student in my last year and the development in Christian thought section has really been stressing me out and i have found it really difficult to find any good and easy to understand resources...but i came across your videos and i can't thank you enough, you've definitely saved my christian paper! Thank you so much!!!!😊😊😊
Hey Eddie, on the spec for OCR A-Level Religious Studies it mentions bringing in G. Chapman (Catechism of the Catholic Church) and Alistair Mcgrath (Christian theology). Yet I can't find them in any revision guides or on any youtube videos. Is it possible for you, when you're free ofc, to briefly explain what their views were so I can use them in this chapter. I love your videos and being someone who learns these A levels by myself at home you have basically become my teacher. 😂All help is massively appreciated and I can not thank you enough for these videos :)
Hi James, thanks for the message. A pleasure to know my videos have been helping. I will get onto this - give me a day or two, I'll get something trimmed down to CZcams comment size for you. Stay tuned!
@@James-zu1ei You're very kind indeed! I've found a link to the Catechism, which is what Chapman published - the key verses are 385 - 409: www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/archive/catechism/p1s2c1p7.htm. It's less than the equivalent of one A4 side, so it's not arduous. As for Alister McGrath, he outlines the position of the church on the Fall. It's basically just a more detailed version of what I've mentioned in the video around how humanity is different pre- and post-Fall, so if I were to summarise what he says...it would basically be what I already said! Although, naturally, I put my own spin on it of course, so if you feel inspired, I'd find his book "Christian Theology" and read the chapter yourself to check it against what I say, as you may well interpret his words differently to how I do. Hopefully this is enough to provide you with some enlightenment.
Thank your for this series!! I don't know why you don't have more subs.
Thanks very much! Most kind of you - I'll keep working on it!
i second this
