Doing lifters today put the exhaust side together but when i pulled the inlet cam out it was pitted on 6th cylinder now looking for another cam r33 1996 rb25det series 2

Hoping it's sooner rather than later.
I installed new lifters today i couldnt get the cam to sit nice where i pulled them out on top dead center when i put the cam caps on it wanted to sit number one cylinder lobes up abit more than the 10 degress in the manual i havent put the timing belt on yet and realigned will this be a problem
Just rotate the the engine to clear and sort the timing out when you put the belt on.

Did you have to change any of the shims out, curious on that, about to venture into installing these and I’ve read some people do some people don’t. obviously gotta measure but just wondering, great video !
This is a series 1 RB25det head, so no shims. Hydraulic lifters.

I believe they only have an advantage when you start revving out to 8k or more.

Nah, I put them when installing the covers
