Such debate should be on TV. It's healthy and democratic talks and carry messages for public of the truth behind the judicial systems in India.
Sir ! Modi tv won't allowed
Quite a few high courts are really of no use these days because of some judges uncontrollable inclination towards certain political parties!
Sachin pilot
Rahul Gandhi
Varun Gandhi
Sasi tharur
Kapil sibal
DK Shivkumar
Revand Reddy

Jairam Ramesh.... Great mindedness.. Great personality.
No hate speech... humanly gentle man.
Love to see them rulling India 🎉🎉❤
Listening to their interviews always been a joy.. inclusive politics.. ❤
Very nice discussion regarding the judiciary by top intellectual lawyers . Just like us lawyers get valuable thoughts. Thanks.
I strongly believe this was the most fruitful and intellectual conversation I have seen ever. Hats off.
Best debate we never come a cross. God bless all the participants.
😮
Good conversation by honourable advocates of the supreme court of India as great thinker for democracy and judiciary
Great souls great subject and great exchanges❤
We need these kind of programs more often. This will definitely educate the common man.
Meaningful discussion . In case of appointment of judges of the Supreme Court and the High Courts, there must be full time Independent Committee free from incumbent executives ,incumbent justices and political parties.
In the matter of post retirement assignment of judges there must be cooling off period of atleast 5 yrs.
.
Live Law must have citizens also on debates.
Excellent programme and very intellectual conversation. All of you are doing yeoman service for the Indian public. Unfortunately Honble Apex Court has delayed taking up important cases on priority like Ayodhya , section 370 and Electoral Bonds.
Salute to These courageous personalities keep it up. God bless you. From Kenya.
Really great conversation . Respect & Hats of to you all. 🙏
This is the assurance that we have intellectual people in India who love our country . May God use you all as a mighty instrument . Salute for this initiative.
The live law did a great job to Judiciary by the conversation and salute to all the stalwarts of legal field.
Excellent💯👍👏💯👍👏 program the issues were raised are real which have the deep concerns about the future of judiciary system and in what manners it can affect the future of indian democracy
Good conversations long live
Excellent debate. Honest views. Sad state of Indian judiciary more since 2014.
Raj Canada
Thank you for this conversation 🙏
Good decision.
Good reporting .
We need more discussions like these...great work.
Highly objective and frank interaction among our top people. It's not only the judiciary but the bar as well that has to be fiercely independent in order to save and uphold the Rule of Law. They would have to rise above purely personal gains.
Mr Bhushan ur an asset to India. People will know ur value one day. Thank you sir. Mr Sibal too
Super insights given. I can understand what will happen if the correct action before time.
Amazing Kapil jee and three honorable guests
❤these conversations. Thank you.
This is very much needed talk
These eminent advocates should also talk about the huge number of pending cases and everlasting resolution.
Because of this delay in judicial process we have totally lost the confidence in judiciary as it gives preference to the cases of elites and rich people.
They are top legal minds in India , iam proud of them
Great to listen such enlightening conversation and thanks to all advocates for conducting such show the problems in the democracy at any aspect is not always due to the systemic problems but also due to the lack of ethical values and knowledge and The end of democracy is not possible unless its citizens are satisfied with living in an undemocratic environment, hence citizens should demand free and fair institutions from their elected government as the first priority to save democracy.
That is a very heartening hope!
God bless you with long lives.
Courage...... It is a fuel for living democratic country.
I absolutely agree with whatever they're saying. But when I heard sibal say the government shall not have any say in the appointment of judges... It was a 1000 deaths of Irony.
Too good👍
Hats off intellectuals ❤
Intectual my foot.....crooks ,,,thieves lawyers
These fours are gems of our country
See the sensible disagreements ,we need such sensible information. Ideological inclination in the judicial is dangerous
Very good conversation
I wish from this kind of discussions our news media could learn something
Thanks to Kapil sibbal sir for initiating this
Best of luck !
salute to your vision and wisdom, what I could see there is no genuine views collaboration with the superior authorities of Supreme court.. It was a very impressive meeting by the Hon,able lawyers of the supreme court .May god bless them with courage to stand up for the right cause and provide the justice to save the Indian constitution ad democracy of Indi🙏🙏a

It's good👍 suggestion❤❤
You are right Dushantji constitutional fathers never imagined our leaders will go so mean.
A bunch of traitors ,some alleged
A bunch of traitors and bafoons are not controlling the nation... Psycho sangis can never digest intellectual discussions and truth..
Wow what a wonderfully enlightening discussion. This current saffron sanghi savarkar mentality wave has taken Indian discourse/debate/discussions back to the stone age apes. Glad to see that still there is some sense prevailing.
Since judges get benefits from govt even after retirement , they may not be allowed any post under govt . After 5 years of cooling period they go for any post under govt but after surrendering all benefits being taken by them.
I m not judicial person but from audit background.
its basic sense you do not need law degree
In 54 years of Congress rule, I wonder what Congress party might have done to Judiciary when even media was not free in those times (mainstream is not free even now), if this much harm BJP can do in just 10 years of continous rule.
Democracy is a myth just as privacy is in present digital age.
Considering Mr Dave's opening remarks..why wud POLITICAL paties entertain any judge in the first place unless they give biased judgement in favour of the political parties
Jai Hind
Term of the govt. No judge can retire and join the ruling party, good point on discussion
Sir I selute to all of you
Great conversation.. rightly pointed out the current affairs.. This practice will kill our judiciary even if the president government is changed.. cooling period is a good option atleast
I believe the collegium, bar councils, and civil society should have discussions and set a high bar of both morality and submission to the Constitution along with yearly transparent service review based on the judgments decided, withheld or kept pending/reserved for weeks and months.
COLLEGIUM SYSTEM IS NOT AT ALL GOOD BUT IT IS MORE INDEPENDENT THAN IF THE APPOINTMENT WERE WITH THE GOVERNMENT ❤agree with Prashant Bhushan
I believe that in the arena of politico-legal conglomerations at the highest levels there shall be some high level blue eyed legal fraternity in each Political Party favouring each other. And there would be no surprise that such high level judicial level quid pro quo connections prevail in the Congress Party also. Such a discussion of that nature may also be telecasted please, if any.
This discussion must be on the TV. Any Judge who joins party in one year after retiring must go to jail, this guys are not true judge, but cannot given this type of judges
Dave Sir is right!!!!
vede vede jayate tatwa siddhi -With debate and discussion we can find the truth.Jai hind 🇮🇳🚩
So called intelligent seniors advocates.
What about the guys employing plum posts under Congress.
Abhijit gangopadhyay probably coerced to join party , such pity state for judges too .
👌☘️❤️👍
👍
🙏🙏🙏
Yani ki soocho !! Agar Kapil Sibbal or Manu Singhavi agar CJI bana diye jate to kya hota????
Court should sup moto order not to appoint any judges after retirement for minimum 5 years and any such appointment should be with the approval of a committee to be appointed by apex court .There will be nothing else if people loose faith in judiciary
Sir
What is your take on the "Advocates"Protection Act" ?
This discussion would have been democratic if there was someone from the other side also participating
A new law is required to keep the principles of neutrality, impartiality and dignity of judiciary for function ing healthy democracy in our country. Actually it is worrisome, that our judiciary going to lost its dignity. So, God save the Supreme Court had to written by Justice F. S. Nariman.
Character building and character assessment at all levels of education and proper evaluation and using proper weightage for future career is something which we totallly lack at primary levels.
Mr. Sibbal is absolutely correct
Topic is more serious than it digest , because person seating on Judge seat and delivering judgment under expectation of reward from ruling government can not able to give right judgment and which case damage to victim is not repairable
so what is difference between corrupt police and this kind of judges
You eminent lawyers efforts may save the polarising present scenario in the country.
This development is expected since of late the top court has observed ( recent TAMILNADU CASE )that being a sympathizer of a political party is not a disqualification for the post of judgeship. Please remember today's politics is not the one we saw in 60's.
Very useful debate.but my question with due respect is only bjp? A list of full of members in many parties.starting from seniority diluted for next cji in Indira resim.what about mr bhushan? Regards Regards
Very good to listen to some hope for the better future for our country.
No one should be appointed for at least for five years after retirement.
The retirement age should be increased for Supreme Court at least on the lines of USA/ or upto 70 years.
Retirement at 60/ 65 yrs. is making many Govt. Employees for seeking alternative jobs. Nowadays people can work for 70 yrs. due to better health.
In the training at the time of recruitment the moral values and ideals specially the aspect of Dharma should be stressed. I had seen it vibrant in the villages at the time of Independence.
'Sathyameva Jayathe', was inscribed in our National Emblem. The educational system and the elders should think and develop "Healthy Public Opinion", which Gandhiji effectively used.
The public awareness in this bonds case should be an eye opener and it should be continued for the betterment of public life and the image of our great country with great cultural heritage.
I hope and wish people like you will continue the public debate developed at this time.
Whatever opinion learner d law practitioners have but one thing is sure ultimately IT IS A MAN WHO MATTER
Meenakshi nailed the fundamental issue. We have become a value-degraded society - a self-centric society, and so everything is up for grabs in the name of being 'successful'. The rot has to change right from our homes and school. We need to inspire our young minds to be fearless and push for values one cherishes as opposed to being cowered in fear all the time.
❤Gems❤
All India judicial exam should be conducted where directly district judge should be selected.only those judges should be promoted to be elligible for high court and Supreme Court judge.merit should prevail
Here in kerala also certain judges express spl inteterest on certain matters if it is against govt.
देश के लिए दुर्भाग्य कि जज जातिवादी भी है और पार्टीवादी भी है संप्रदायिक भी है ।उनक बहुत सारे फैसलो से झलकता है।
just because judgment is not in your favor it cannot be construed as biased and quid pro quo ...this notion iteslf compromises independence of judiciary.
Still few judges in Kolkata High Court are behaving still as a political cadre.
Pl. see Sir.
Common man does not know about the Functioning of judiciary, only bar Association should raise to the occasion and do guide.
wanted this debate should be a copy of Hindi version, so that more number of Hindi audiance can understand the serious issues, Hindi translation on screen can understandable to them. can it be possible ?
These serious issues should be propogated to "AAM JANTA"
I feel right wings people and lawyer and ex judges who finds themselves ideologically on same page .... They wrote the 2 open letters after watching these videos of Kapil sibbal n live law 😅
I feel these videos have point
In Rajasthan many judges have been attending the functions of the legal department of बीजेपी. Akhil bhartiya अधिवक्ता parishad. Legal department of congress has never invited the judges in it's functions as it would be very unfair to the judges.
Sir ! Can it be in Hindi. Because general people can understand very well.
Discussion was started with former justice of Calcutta High Court, Gangopadhyaya; resigning and within 48 hours joining the ruling party: Can we say it is like Campus Recruitment
What about conflict of interest? Doesn't the judicial system have any measures or actions taken to curb this. Justice is compromised when judgements are taken basis inclination of the respectable judges to any political party there by damaging the integrity, trust and faith of local public in the judicial system.
Basic rule of law , one cannot go on assumption and presumptions, so pl refrain ..
Nothing shall happen. We cannot change the direction that the entire profession of law has taken. Our British Rulers politically united us and brought a system of law with which they were familiar. Without delving into their motives, we must acknowledge that they were successful in implementing what they thought good for maintaining the law and order. It would be obvious that they did not take up the task tinkering with the law based on custom . They did try to make uniform civil code. But they maintained the system of law and order to highest degree they could. They did not interfere with normal courts except in the cases when they were threatened with ouster. They appointed persons of moral integrity lest people may not go against them. The constitution of India is based upon the laws made by the British. We could not maintain the same respect for law by persons administering it because we are divided by religion, caste, community, race etc. Gradually we have reduced our constitution as a source power rather than an outline for governance of the vast country of so many divisions . Power rules us all and we do not care for poor and downtrodden because of their birth in poor family. Judges too are power hungry and they want to maintain it as ong as possible.
