I was at Santa Pod a few years ago, and after many beers, bought a Schwinn Stingray bike (bit like a Raleigh Chopper), because I couldn't be arsed walking around site.
It was only after the beer wore off I remembered that I'd gone there in a Mk1 Toyota MR2. A two seater hardtop. And I had all my camping gear to fit in.
I had to go back into the pits and scrounge tools off one of the race teams to take the bike apart so that I could squeeze it into the car to take it home.

I've owned one for over a year now and use it everyday and NO WAY will it do anything near what they say, I've tested it and 15 miles was all I got (pedal assist) and had to push it the 5 miles back as when the battery is flat it's hard work.
I love mine to bits, never gone wrong, never done any maintenance and I charge it off solar so it's free miles.
when I bought mine it was £430 in July 22 from Amazon
I think when it comes to predicted battery life all appliances fall short and the manufacturers stretch the truth a bit LOL
I was looking for an honest review.. the fact that u slate yet love yours is all I need to know

There are better ones out there, and ones that can cope with more of a hammering, but for the price point anything around the £300 mark and so compact are perfect for the camper. I bought a similar one for her indoors, it’s grand and the range is perfect for a weekend away pootling around. Nice Channel.

I'm a big fan of the estarli e20. It has 20 inch wheels, is just as light and folds up arguably smaller. It costs £1500 though. That bike came round Europe with me in the back of a Peugeot Partner micro camper.
I have a new PVY Z20 folding bike for my camper. Its the 3rd electric bike Ive owned and its brilliant, at only £660, with gears, suspension and rack for a bag. 🙌🏻

These sorts of cheap ebikes which don't really fold but are manageable at the considerable cost of a very cramped riding position have been around for many years. They are really only suitable for fairly small people who don't ride much.
Too bad they are not allowed on public transport in London.
And it would be great if one could use his/hers Makita 18V batteries in it - I would definitely go for it if so.

@@LoveSundays assumed it would.. but who is going to honour the warranty.. i haven't seen a list of shops selling these unless you can tell me otherwise, everything i'm reading relates to the states, i'd rather not have to return the whole bike if something goes wrong.. (or i crash is and break something)

I,m at that age so my kids keep reminding me😂 of should I get one of these. (62 next week) But if I got one would I just speed to work and not have time enough for my cigarette while I pedal.😢

That’s good just be aware a 500w motor isn’t road legal though.

The speck says max load 120kg or 18.8 stone however the cigar smoking man was 125kg and it didn’t break

Me and my friends hired a few electric bikes when they were 1st all the rage... the route involved stopping at a pub as a half way point where the bikes got charged up... one of the girls said "the battery's are lighter now they're empty".... we all laughed and then she shouted at someone "turn that plug switch off! All the electricitys coming out" 😂😂😂
The seat looks too low, I prefer my leg to be straight on lowest pedal position not bent. Useful little thing though.
