Welcome to European Union Emily. Portugal is wonderful and its Açores Islands are stunning. There you can eat traditional cuisine like drinking autoctone Tea (Cha) and see how these Islands gained the energy independence from Portugal.
Exciting to see your visit to Sao Miguel, since my wife and I spent 2 weeks in the Azores a few months ago, travelling from Norway. Went to many of the same places as you, and the weather was just as shifting. Beautiful Island.Impressed by your surfing skills, if that was your first time
My first visit there was in 1975 the year of the revolution. Very beautiful and it stays that way. I hope to make one last trip.
Your videos are getting just over the top fantastic with drone shots, music selection, camera angles and editing. You are becoming quite a videographer and content creator. I love that you got to experience a place so different than your own home. When I was young, I was able to travel to Denmark with my family. Such great times and memories. Happy continued travels!

We watched your last part to this beautiful trip of videos and loved it as much as the other two....we loved that your mother was visible at times....from watching your Dad's videos we understand the meaning of privacy and the need for it.....what a wonderful mother/daughter bonding trip (although I feel there is a great bonding in your family)....again bless you and your family for showing us a different world and a more serene way of life...my wife and I can't wait until your next video from your home base...

Great trip for hiking and sights. The fact that you actually stood up for a few seconds on your first time surfing shows your athletick ability. I imagine some of your snow boarding skill helped. When the weather is not ideal you see and experience nature that is missed by the majority. You have to be extra careful - with winds in the forest but the power of nature is breathtaking. Many of my family's most memorable outings and hikes involve inclement weather. When you travel to far off places that you might not get to see again or at least not back to right away, the call to adventure is heightened. Looking forward to the next leg of your journey. About the coffee, it's part of our culture. In Portugal "going for a coffee" usually means more than just drinking coffee. It's a moment to chat with a friend, or to stop what you're doing and just relax for a moment. Therefore, "coffee to go" is incomprehensible and very strange to most of Portuguese people.

Crossed the Atlantic by ship 10 times back in the 1960s close to the Azores, seeing a couple of them in the distance. This was a a real treat in my old age, a lot of fun pin pointing the different locations on Google Earth... Beautiful video of a beautiful Island, I'm going to have to look for some of that tea...Thank you for your efforts.
