My top 7 includes the most famous and insta-popular view of the island, Sete Cidades, a visit to the hot springs, delicious traditional foods to try and even a visit to a waterfall!
I put together this top 7 after travlling the whole island with my family for a week in Easter. Tust me when I say you cannot miss these spots in your trip to Sao Miguel.

Thanks for your kind words! Glad you found the video useful. You're right, the whole island is gorgeous! But I would recommend to stay in Ponta Delgada just because it's the biggest town so it has more restaurants and things to do in the evenings. But if you prefer to stay somewhere more remote in nature - Anywhere will be beautiful!
Thanks for the video. I'm trying to plan my trip to the Azores and Portugal's main land. Can you tell me how many nights would be a minimum stay at San Miguel? I can't stay very long if I want to see other beautiful places in Portugal. :D
I stayed 5 nights in Sao Miguel, but I would say the minimum is 3 nights. Mainland Portugal is also very beautiful, and there's a lot more to do and see, so it depends on how many days you have 😊
Going there in a couple days in a couple days. any advice for if you dont have a car? i thought of making friends/hitchhike/taxi?
There’s lots of excursions you can book (ask at your Accommodation) but yeah taxis and making friends can be a great solution ☺️ Hope you have a great time!

Boa tarde! Unfortunately we didn’t stay in Hostels so we are not able to recommend. Suggest checking out Booking.com it’s usually the best way to see all the available options 😊
