Fire Chief Charles N. Hood will be speaking on his professional areas of focus for the San Antonio Fire Department and how he used those areas of focus to define expectations, set standards, and foster leadership within his organization. After arriving in San Antonio over eight years ago, Chief Hood set out to provide a progressive and consistent operating system for his department. Chief Hood stressed firefighter safety, training, and customer service as his department’s areas of focus. It is from these areas of focus that Chief Hood designed, crafted, and honed one of our nation’s most progressive department’s operations and paradigms.
