Whether or not you take it, defines what the outcome will be. That man took all of that away from these people. And they will forever be saddened and heartbroken. But what he cant take from them, is the one thing that will keep this community together and strong, and that is the simple fact that Nip showed everyone that was willing to be better, do better, act better, be a leader, and an absolutely embraceful king that paved the way for all the success and prosperity that this community has and deserves. He gets to sit and rot away in prison. You can see it in his face, when cowboy asks him why, he cant answer it because he doesn't know why. Because he doesnt know why to be honest.
