Modular DESTROYED by stock Ableton with this ONE SIMPLE TRICK (Eurorack owners HATE him)
thank you for the precise use of the ambient plinky plonk terminology
i stopped making music after a while because the process began to be too formulaic. this video really inspired me to be more intuitive and experimental in my approach thank u ❤
this is super fun, also so validating watching someone experiment in Ableton and randomly shout "oh my goodness me!" when something crazy an unintentional happens 😂

Watching you play around with ideas is so inspirational. Very much enjoy!
love the added vape asmr down the mic at 05:00 really brings it together
I'm starting to actually know what I'm doing with operator. I know what attack, decay, sustain and release ACTUALLY do! Eternally grateful
Yeah!!! Good for you, mate!!!

Fantastik !
reminds me a bit of dntel. great work!

If someone made this with a digitakt and digitone people would be losing their minds - brilliant video mate 🙌🏽
You can do this on the digitone for sure. I’ve done it.
what a strong plinky in this plonk
nice BOC / AIR vibes
The reason why you thought it went too far with detuning is note transposition without the scale on 10:50 ;)
Came here to mention the same. Good catch!
So pretty
at one point, the peak of your kick was -8.08 :D
Very nice as always, I love when it gets unconfortable around 10:49 hahaha
lol yea, so cool, hes like omg but rolling with it nicely
I Know Plinky Plonk Now.
Thx (:
Could you do an Ambient Winky Wank set?
3:56 clicking moment
That was weird but fun!
Very cool. Could you extend this to show how a live session of plinky plonk could work?
Well, it's already live in the sense that it's generative via randomisation. From there just macro up all your envelopes, LFO and FX and get tweaky. :)
This is marvelous, i was in Brothomstates feeling and a mix with Autechre feeling... and then my mind, and then my life, and then my death, and then my rebirth. And then i need to celebrate my journey with all humans after the sensation that while i'm listening this i'm healing my depression. Thank you so much!
Those sounds remember alot some of Minilogue's productions sounds, rly nice work!! know if i need i know how i could make those kind of sounds
Hi, I was wondering if you could go into the difference between plinky plonk and bleepity bloop?
No
Sounds a bit like autechre , siiick
Plynk my Plonk
I love me some Plinky for my Plock !
would have loved if there was a way to chain a set of midi notes together into a chord and then set the chance of that chord being played
You can do this by using the Chord Midi Effect
1) write a melody
2) set up chance of melody notes playing
3) add chord midi effect set to ie Minor, Major - Triad, 7th Chord etc
every melody note will trigger a chord and chance will randomise when the note/chord plays 🙂
Is this live 11 or can this be done in 10?
is it possible to do this sort of process using live 10?
yes but you've got to use the midi effects for velocity and chance since they're not directly built into live 10's sequencer
@@freewheelinghorn couldn't get it right with it but i'll figure it out
That's a nice sounding plinky plonk Ned... WHY DOESN'T MINE SOUND LIKE THAT!!!
le grille?! what the hell is that?!
the clangers in concert.
Modular nerds will stay say if the did on their 10K$ modular system it would be better though.
plllioowwwwkkkkkkk
Hold up, Ableton has a drum synth? Was that always there?
They are max4live devices but yes, been there at least since version 9
can you only set the scale thing in the newest version of Live?i have ableton live 9
You can find the scale as a midi effect in live 9 and 10 !
Top dog

What's wrong with writing actual music al of a sudden???
