8th grader from ohio, I'm trying to make allstate band (and be the first freshman from my school to ever make it) and I have practiced a lot with this piece... everyone wish me luck so I don't suck at solo and ensemble.

My husband and I have been working on this piece for a couple of months. I must give a shout out to the pianist (I am the pianist of our duo). What a fun piece to play. We like to play daily and always end up with a smile on our face with the last note.

Oh, I played this in music uni! 🤩
Didn't play it much faster myself. Double tounging is harder and less comfortable "slow", you need a different air pressure. So this is a good performance! 👍
I couldn't play it faster because I never got the fingering there though 😛

This etude is not meant to be faster, it's true purpose is to settle your double tonguing woth a lot of air because everyone can play fast but at what cost, mostly it's quality😅

Not too fast to where you give up musicality and not too slow to make to give up the technicality of this piece. I personally try to find a tempo that will help fulfill both
