Ahh, the Todd-father. I never really read Spawn but definitely enjoyed his art on Spidey back in the heady early 90s. His writing left much to be desired, but his illustrations were a sight to behold. Thanks for the review!
Good overview. Thank you for this. Other channels I feel go to fast turning the pages or talking but I'm glad you took your time. I bought the reprints so looking forward to reading them when they arrive. Hope you do the next one soon.

3 sets of OOP ultra expensive WHALES ,I have wanted for many years,all came back into print. This and Lone Wolf and Cub, and Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service !

Why not get the compendiums?
Good question. A few personal reasons - I want the issue covers and don’t like that they’re omitted in the compendiums, Todd’s one of my favourite artists and I think his art deserves the oversized treatment, and I don’t plan on collecting/reading all of Spawn, so I’m fine with having just the few volumes of these editions

Right now! 🙂 Vol 5 was recently released, along with “stealth” reprints of Vol 1-4. The OHCs will be reprinted too. The announcement wasn’t particularly well communicated by Image so a lot of retailers didn’t even know to order them. If you’re in Canada, I think Indigo should be getting them. If you’re from the US, the last I checked, I saw them available at cheapgraphicnovels.com and organicpricedbooks.com
