What are your thoughts on Sony HT-A9? Can it replace a conventional wired speaker system for room size of 15x12ft…
For 15 x 12 room, it can 👍🏻 However don’t expect it to take you to moon! So that you will be happy with its orbital performance 😀👍🏻

Dont do it. It has no centre speaker. No good
It's kinda crazy they label a sound bar as 5.1.2. Unless you have the perfect room, the various "channels" sound is not going to end up where it needs to go to sound like 5 surround speakers and 2 heights.
5.1.2 denotes the number of speaker channels that are physically placed in the speaker. Mentioning Atmos needs to have a *star* with it 😀👍🏻
The 5 are not like the old 5.1. If you want rear sound you need extra wireless speakers to complete the set. The 5 speakers just make it more space defined, but not from the rear.
@raoulmanning1506 5.1 has never had rear speakers. 5.1 is designed to be side channels, not rear. Need 7.1 for actual rear speakers
@@ProbablyStupidGuynot true at all. The first 5.1 sets all were designed for 1 center, 2 front and 2 rear speakers and one subwoofer. Later the 7.1 added two extra speakers at the sides. In 5.1 dolby and dts soundtracks the soundtracks are center, fronts and rears.

Sony tv with sony soundbar is better match up
Sonos sub gen 3 has excellent bass

ARC is a outdated soundbar currently

When will people learn bass is not everything
